Spokesman of al-Nujaba: Martyr Soleimani was Ayatollah al-Sistani’s advisor in issuing jihad fatwa

Spokesman of al-Nujaba: Martyr Soleimani was Ayatollah al-Sistani’s advisor in issuing jihad fatwa

Thursday, 31 December 2020

According to al-Shammari, at the height of the attacks by Daesh, in which large parts of Iraq ‎fell and the holy shrines were endangered, Haj Qasem attended the offices of the religious authorities and explained the situation in full detail, helping to have the ‘obligatory jihad’ fatwa to ‎fight against terrorism issued.

According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-‎Nujaba in Iran‎, Nasr al-Shammari, the ‎spokesman of the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance movement, spoke via video conference at an ‎academic webinar entitled “The Role of the Islamic Resistance in Defending the Shi’ah Shrines” ‎hosted by the University of Religions and Denominations in Qom, Iran on December 30, 2020.‎

Al-Shammari addressed the topic of his speech as “The Role of Martyr ‎General Qasem Soleimani in Defending the Holy Shrines of the Ahl al-Bayt (a) in Iraq,” and recalling the deplorable situation in neighbouring Syria and the subsequent occupation of ‎large areas of Iraq by Takfiri terrorists, he said, “Major governorates such as Nineveh, Salah ‎al-Din and al-Anbar fell within a day and Daesh quickly reached the threshold of ‎Baghdad, Najaf, Karbala governorate and Samarra was also completely besieged.”

He continued, “In that situation, Haj Qasem Soleimani entered Iraq on the night of the fall of Mosul and implemented a two-stage plan that, in the first step, would remove the danger from Baghdad, Najaf and Karbala, and in the next step, would open the way for the security forces to reach Samarra so that the catastrophic tragedy of 2006 (the destruction of the Holy al-Askari Shrine) is not repeated.”

Referring to the numerous meetings of Martyr Soleimani with Islamic Resistance commanders, ‎government officials and influential Iraqi figures, the al-Nujaba spokesman noted, “It was Haj Qasem who, by attending the offices of the religious authorities and explaining in full detail the prevailing conditions, helped to have the ‘obligatory jihad’ fatwa issued against Daesh.”

Al-Shammari further mentioned the general panic that had gripped Iraq in those days, ‎the flight of many government officials from the capital, the collapse of the army and ‎security forces, the emptying of the treasury and weapons depots and added, “Major General ‎Soleimani held a meeting in those days and he warned that we should not allow these ‎dangers to threaten the holy shrines under the pretext of these problems.‎”

Referring to Haj Qasem’s bravery in the operation to prevent the fall of Samarra, he ‎added, “He was on the verge of martyrdom many times there and in addition to being ‎a high-ranking and experienced combatant, his humane and ideological personality ‎strengthened the morale of the warriors defending the shrines.”‎

‎According to the deputy secretary-general of al-Nujaba, in the bloody operation “Jurf ‎al-Sakhr” (later called “Jurf al-Nasr”), Daesh also openly attacked with the slogan of ‎destroying the holy shrines of al-Kadhimayn, Karbala and Najaf. Therefore, Haj Qasem ‎Soleimani kept telling the warriors, ‘You are now like the companions of Imam al-Husayn and you must defend the holy shrines.’”

al-Shammari stated in this regard, “I heard from Haj Qasem that he said ‘this war is ‎the most honourable war and I am ready to be martyred in defence of the shrines of the Ahl ‎al-Bayt (a).’ So it was. By following Hadhrat Aba al-Fadhl al-Abbas (a), his hands were cut ‎off and he was torn to pieces in defence of the holy shrines in this land.”

In the continuation of this video speech, he described Martyr Soleimani as a man who ‎melted in Islam and the love of the Ahl al-Bayt (a) and added, “Haj Qasem’s efforts ‎beyond Iran and Iraq were as great as the Islamic ummah. He considered himself the ‎defender of all Muslims in the world.”

The official spokesman of al-Nujaba referred to the toughness, tact and martyrdom-seeking nature of ‎Martyr Soleimani and noted, “With his presence on the scene of the operation, problems ‎were solved and the fighters rushed to the battlefield with double speed and force because they saw that this beloved elder was standing on the front line before ‎all others.”

al-Shammari emphasized in conclusion, “The will of God Almighty was such ‎that this great warrior achieved his eternal dream of martyrdom and left great and ‎lasting effects by sacrificing his blood.”

It is worth mentioning that Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, the secretary-general of the Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly (a.s.), Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Abolhasan Navvab, the president of the ‎University of Religions and Denominations, Shaykh Nabil al-Halbawi, the custodian of the Holy Shrine of Lady Ruqayyah, and Hujjat al-Islam Mahdi Farmanian, the vice-chancellor for research at the University of Religions and Denominations, were the other speakers at this academic ‎webinar.

Hujat al-Islam Hosseini calls Sheikh Zakzaky lion of Africa

Referring to bravery and courage to spread Islam, the head of the Islamic Center of Johannesburg, Hujat al-Islam Hosseini called Sheikh Zakzaky the lion of Africa.

On the 5th anniversary of the capture of Shaikh Zakzaky and martyrdom of some of his followers and family by the Nigerian army, the head of the Islamic Center of Johannesburg, Hujat al-Islam Hosseini referred to Sheikh Zakzaky’s high character and how he met him.

He said that right after the Islamic revolution of Iran, Sheikh Zakzaky used to come to Iran and participate in conferences which were held there whether for Islamic Unity or the Revolution anniversary.

“He was full of energy in every single committee which he was a member, he was outspoken member, trying to communicate with other guests”, he said.

“Personality of Sheikh was amazing. In several meetings I had with him, simplicity and also type of determination, energy, and positiveness are something that I learned from him.

Just one example that is enough for us to come to the conclusion that Sheikh is in the height of real Iman and that is when he lost his six children were they martyred in the protection of Islamic rights and also Palestinian rights in the international day of Quds”, said the head of the Islamic Center of Johannesburg, Hujat al-Islam Hosseini on the personality of Sheikh Zakzaky.

Saying that the time doesn’t let him explain in detail about the full personality if Sheikh Zakzaky, Hossein added, “But one thing is for sure that he is the Lion of Africa, his action speaks louder than himself, and that’s why the people of Nigeria have been adopting the teachings of Sheikh because they are so natural and are so localized and in harmony with the culture of Nigerian people. The way he explains realities, the way he makes Tafsir of the Quran are in a way that captures that everyone’s heart. I have seen thousands of Mubaleghin have been dispatched all over the world but few have been successful like Sheikh Zakzaky.”

“In the anniversary of his arrest we ask Allah (SWT) give us the success to InshaAllah follow the footpath of the Shuhada of Nigeria and commemorate their memories and also we pray that Allah (SWT) organize for the release of Sheikh and his wife and bring him back to the leadership of Nigerian brothers and sisters”, Hosseini said.

“No one has got any doubt that what happened in Nigeria was initiated by Bin Salman of Saudi regime of Israel. Because the only regimes which were losing their interest in Nigeria were these two”, he concluded.

Dr. Shajareh: Sheikh Zakzaky barely alive; needs to be immediately releasd

The Chairman of the Islamic Human Rights Commission in the United Kingdom, Dr. Massoud Shajareh noted the bad condition of Sheikh Zakzaky in Nigerian prison and demand his immediate release.

On the 5th anniversary of the capture of Sheikh Zakzaky and martyrdom of some of his followers and family by the Nigerian army, the Chairman of the Islamic Human Rights Commission in the United Kingdom, Dr. Massoud Shajareh noted the bad condition of Sheikh Zakzaky in Nigerian prison.

At the beginning he appreciated the organizers of the conference and said, “It is five years ago when this massacre took place against Sheikh Zakzaky and the Islamic movement of Nigeria. We know that during that period over 1000 people were massacred both in the Hosseinieh and also near the resident of Sheikh Zakzaky. That included his 3 remaining sons and his sister who was burned alive in that compound. Many children, a number of people who were pregnant women, men, elderly, young people (were killed) with no mercy.”

“Consequently, afterward when inquiry was set up by the governor, although there was no confident and that’s why Sheikh’s movement, Islamic Movement of Nigeria refused to take part, nevertheless, the findings were very alarming. The army admitted that they have at least killed 400 people and they have (also) admitted that they have buried them in mass graves without an information to their family or their loved ones, which resulted in now that we know that under 1000 people either confirmed killed or disappeared who are believed that to be killed on that day”, he added.

“The international court just started investigation when we reported the details of what has happened, the detailed names of those who have been killed in that massacre. Shortly after the investigation by highest court of Nigeria eventually said Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife arrest is unlawful, against the constitution, they should be released, compensation has to be paid, and safe accommodation should be given to them. Because the army had destroyed their house and every evidence. And the evidence is not usually destroyed by governments, they are usually destroyed by criminals, unless the government is also the criminal which here is the case”, Dr. Massoud Shajareh said.

“His abuse was as such at the time of arrest that the photographs show that he barely alive. After we took a team of doctors more than a year and half a go and for the first time, he had access to the independent doctors he’s got lid poisoning, heart condition, his wife has got many other conditions. They cannot be treated in the prison. That’s why the court ruled that he should be taken out”, Shajareh Added on the health condition of Sheikh Zakzaky.

“As the matter of the fact now we are still exactly where we were. Five years on he still hasn’t been properly charged. The courts are delaying and you know that although the highest ruled that he should be released, the government refuse to do it. The reality is that something needs to be done, this innocent man, and this man who is loved by so many needs to be released and in Nigeria his people are going out five days a week every working day, demonstrating for his released and as the consequent of that they have been shot at, tear gassed and died”, Shajareh added.

The Chairman of the Islamic Human Rights Commission in the United Kingdom, Dr. Massoud Shajareh said, “We internationally need to recognize the reality that this abuse in such a clear daylight in front of the whole world, cannot be allowed to continue. And there is no appeasing for people who killed and admit killing thousands of people and bury them in mass graves. We need to put pressure on international community and everyone and we need to wake up and we continue not putting pressure on Nigerian government, these 5 years will become ten years and these 10 years will become 15 years and then will become basis for injustice not just for Islamic movement of Nigeria but for everyone else.”

In the end, Dr, Shajareh concluded, “I prayed that Allah give us tawfiq to be part of the campaign and pressure that is needed to release him. Thank you.”

Shojaeifard: Sheikh Zakzaky has 25 million followers in Nigeria

Shojaeifard: Sheikh Zakzaky has 25 million followers in Nigeria

Tuesday, 15 December 2020

The fifth anniversary of the oppressed martyrs of Zaria was held on Saturday, December 12, 2020, in the presence of the family of Sheikh "Ibrahim Zakzaky", the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, and in the presence of a group of thinkers from the Islamic world.

Representative of Sheikh Ebrahim Zakzaky in Iran delivered a speech on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at the fifth anniversary of the oppressed martyrs of Zaria, in Qom.

Referring to the number of Sheikh Zakzaky followers in Nigeria, Mohammad Hassan Shojaeifard said: "Sheikh Zakzaky was able to attract 25 million people, of which 15 million are Shiites and 5 million are Sunni Muslims and 3 million Christians and two million non-believers."

"He was able to train millions of soldiers for the Resistance Front, and the World Al-Quds Day march in Nigeria was attended by 2 million Shiites, Sunnis, Christians and non-believers," he added.

He said that Sheikh Zakzaky is so popular in Nigeria that the current president of the country came to Sheikh Zakzaky before the election in 2014 and took a photo with the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria in order to get more votes from the people.

"Sheikh Zakzaky's approximate method is important, and he created dozens of institutions and his service was strange. Any needy person could get help from Sheikh Zakzaky and he had spiritual rule over the people. Sheikh Zakzaky formed civil and legal groups and did not discriminate between individuals. He told his followers to go to Sunni mosques, and this would lead to people turning to Shiism. Sheikh Zakzaki's actions led to people becoming Shiites," he said.

The representative of Sheikh Zakzaky said that United States could not tolerate so many Shiites in Nigeria, so the Nigerian military attacked the Quds Day rallies in Nigeria, which resulted in the martyrdom of thirty people, including three of Sheikh Zakzaky's sons. But the Islamic world did not react to this attack and in Iran only the Supreme Leader of the Revolution opposed this crime.

It is worth mentioning that on December 13, 2015 when Shiites were mourning Imam Hussain (a.s.) in a Husseiniyah in the city of Zaria in Nigeria, the country's military forces with a previous plan to destroy Shiite Islam in Nigeria raided to the Husseiniyah of Zaria and home of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria and killed more than a thousand Shiites and a number of members of the family of Sheikh Zakzaky and severely injured the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria and his wife and they were taken to prison.

Member of Assembly of Experts delivered a speech on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at the fifth anniversary of the oppressed martyrs of Zaria, in Qom.

Referring to the Zaria massacre, Ayatollah Abbas Kaabi said: "This incident was a scandal for human rights defenders and countries claiming human rights before it became a religious issue."

"The Islamic Movement of Nigeria is a humane and Islamic movement based on monotheism and justice that strives to serve society. The movement calls for peace and has no military, irregular or destructive movements, but opposes terrorist groups such as ISIS and Boko Haram," he said.

He said that Nigerian government must begin constructive talks with the Islamic Movement of Nigeria and these talks should lead to the release of Sheikh Zakzaky to revive the spirit of hope in Nigeria.

Referring to the Nigerian government's stance on dialogue with the Nigerian Islamic Movement, Ayatollah Kaabi said: "The Nigerian government is ready for such a dialogue, but those who are agent of Zaria massacre and are under pressure of Zionism and Wahhabism are seeking to destroy Nigeria. The Nigerian government, meanwhile, must be ruled by reason and wisdom."

Ayatollah Kaabi said that Islamic Movement of Nigeria is a national movement that has its roots in the Prophetic Islam and the line of the Amir al-Mu'menin (a.s.) and the Ashura movement.

Ayatollah Kaabi called the Islamic Movement of Nigeria a moderate movement and stated: "This movement calls for brotherhood, love and humanity. The beginning of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria was from the universities of this country."

"When Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaki came to Iran after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, he had a two-minute meeting with Imam Khomeini, and the late Imam gave a Quran to Sheikh Zakzaky and told him to publish the Quran in Africa," he added.

AQR custodian: Triangle of dogmatism, global arrogance and Zionism lined up against Islamic awakening

AQR custodian: Triangle of dogmatism, global arrogance and Zionism lined up against Islamic awakening

Monday, 14 December 2020

On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the martyrs of Zaria, Nigeria, the chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi has issued a statement.

The text of the message is as follows:

In the name of God, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate

And those who strive for Us— We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good

And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision

From the vicinity of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine, I would like to greet the pure souls of all martyrs, seekers of justice and righteousness, especially the honorable martyrs of Zaria. I pray to the Almighty God for the release and health of the leader of the Nigerian Shiites, Ibrahim Zakzaky, and I ask for the greatness of this peaceful, just, and eternal epic movement of these martyrs.

Honoring the martyrs of Zaria is one of the examples of respecting Islamic rituals, because martyrs and martyrdom are highly respectable to God and martyrs are the revivers of the culture of self-sacrifice, resistance and the flag-bearers of monotheism and justice in society, worthy of the praise and appreciation of freethinkers.

Along this path, the pure blood of the martyrs of Zaria has awoken Nigeria and a world sunken in unknowingness and negligence, and renewed the echo of the resounding voice of Abraham, and the spiritual voice of the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) in inviting to brotherhood and empathy. They portrayed national unity in the eyes of the world, and it was a turning point in Nigeria’s contemporary history.

The Zaria massacre also brought to light dogmatism and intellectual petrifaction, violence, moral degeneration, and fighting human rights on the part of those whose hands are stained with the pure blood of these martyrs, and their only weapon is threatening, destroying, assassinating, looting and intensifying poverty. As the Holy Quran says: And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy.

But let them know that now in the third millennium of human history and thought, everyone has understood that assassination and murder, violence and rejection are signs of frustration and evidence of ignorance, in which there is no pride, but a stain on the black history of this trend. Of course, the foundations of this thinking and behavior are weak and in contradiction with common sense and pure human nature, and the hand of God the Almighty is out for punishment in defense of the oppressed people: Indeed, your Lord is in observation.

It is hoped that the Nigerian government will learn from history, stop killing innocent people, and restore peace to the Muslim nation and the Islamic community in Nigeria with the release of the oppressed Sheikh Zakzaky.

The spirit of Islamic Movement in Nigeria is based on moderate Islam, free from extremism, its language, dialogue and understanding of Islamic religions and avoidance of violence and armed conflict, its approach, national unity and cohesion and avoidance of ethnic, racial and religious divisions and its origins is the millennium of Islamism in Nigeria, whose Islam and religion have their roots in the first century AH.

The movement’s efforts as a phenomenon in Nigerian Islamism is directed to uphold Islamic rules and respect for Muslims in Nigerian law alongside followers of other religions, alleviate poverty in Nigeria and promote social and economic justice, replacing understanding and dialogue with assassination and takfir, application of social rationality and the spirit of reconciliation in dealing with Islamic sects.

Therefore, based on the social performance and statements of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, the most important guidelines of this movement are the following:

1. Cultural, political and social self-awareness at the national and transnational levels

2. Revelatory rationality in criticism and opinion

3. Cooperation and understanding among Islamic sects: Proximity of religions based on common knowledge and belief and avoidance of sectarianism, takfir and violence

4. Centrality of Quran in thought and strategy

5. Love of the Infallible Imams (AS)

6. Fighting oppression and spreading righteousness

7. Social unity and national solidarity

8. Avoiding armed conflict

9. Development of religious knowledge

10. Cooperation and social assistance

Based on these components, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria is a movement that has emerged entirely from within the great Muslim community of Nigeria and attributing it to others beyond the borders is shifting the blame and contrary to wisdom.

This movement, inspired from the spirit of Islam, is not a copy from any trend or revolution. Although being inspired by the great and just revolutions of humanity, and especially Ashura, is wise and evident in this Islamic movement, this should be considered the main secret of the purity and sanity of this movement.

Within the Islamic world, we see either indifference and cooperation with the arrogant powers against the Islamic world, or direct confrontation.

In the second category, one observes either extremism like ISIS, Boko Haram, and al-Qaeda, which commit any crime through Machiavellian spirit in the name of Islam and at the opposite side there is Sheikh’s approach which is seeking justice and morality and the avoidance of any extremism.

Hence, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria led by Sheikh Zakzaky does not pose a threat to the national interests of the Nigerian people and government. This means that all violence against it has been one-sided and the human casualties are all exclusively from the children of this movement.

The destruction of the symbols and bodies of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, the Baqiyatallah Husseiniyah and the gathering places of the movement’s followers, the assassination of the movement’s followers, imprisonment of the movement’s intellectual leadership, violation of national and international laws and making baseless accusations, all show fear and planned repression of this movement by seemingly mysterious forces which in fact are exposed for vigilant eyes.

The question is: Why is this force seeking to suppress the Islamic Movement in Nigeria? The answer is the fear that they are gradually tasting. This trend is the triangle of dogmatism, global arrogance powers and Zionism, which in the last century, has lined up against the genuine Islamic movements arising from the context of Saqaleyn, and its dirty hands are stained with blood and looting and killing of the followers of these movements.

The Zaria tragedy has already been repeated by this force in Qana of Lebanon, Gaza, Palestine, Yemen, and Syria, but certainly they were all fruitless. The most outstanding reasons for the fear of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria and its suppression can be listed as follows:

1. The formation of a faith-based and self-founded society arising from the genuine and popular movement of the Islamic awakening throughout Africa, influenced by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, has severely disturbed the sleep of dogmatic colonialists seeking to weaken and exploit Muslims’ natural resources.

2. The call of the Islamic movement for rapprochement, understanding and avoidance of violence and takfir has disrupted their sinister plans in casting schism among the Islamic nation.

3. The growing tendency of Nigerian and African youth towards the ideals of this movement as its popular and influential support has shaken the evil triangle.

4. The intense concern of this triangle about the spread of culture transcendent, anti-oppression and promising teachings of Ashura and Mahdism in Africa and the Islamic world.

5. Fear of spreading the life-giving, revolutionary and irreplaceable ideas of Imam Khomeini as the only defiant figure in the Islamic world against the triangle.

In the end, it seems the best path is the dialogue between the Nigerian government and this movement. Moreover, in the dialogue between the government and this large and million-man domestic movement, mutual recognition of the two sides and grounds for understanding and solving these problems will emerge.

The Nigerian government should be aware that this movement is not seeking to fight it. The demands of the movement are purely humanistic and global, and the struggle is purely political, intellectual and social with the system of world imperialism.

The Nigerian government must also understand that in a country where Africa’s largest terrorist group, Boko Haram, the official ally of ISIS, is reigning peerlessly and shedding the blood of the Nigerian people unjustly with the approach of takfir and terror, dealing with a completely peaceful political trend is not a wise move, but rather an act against national security and a form of suicide.

The forces of the Nigerian government and security and military forces should be used instead for suppressing terrorism and supporting peaceful movements seeking national interests.

God has granted and will grant victory to all the oppressed and people suffering throughout history, which is an unchangeable divine tradition, and the Islamic Movement in Nigeria and its oppressed and suffering leader will be included in this tradition, God willing.
