On the occasion of the International Conference of "Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.); Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)", a source of emulation, Grand Ayatollah "Seyyed Mohammad Ali Alavi Gorgani" received members of the secretariat of the conference.
While appreciating the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the meeting for holding the international conference of Hazrat Abu talib (a.s.), Ayatollah Alavi Gorgani said, "Indeed the conference is an excellent, valuable and necessary work."
"We must do our best we can to get Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) out of abandonment and accusation atmosphere", he continued.
"The slanders against Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) are not unreasonable and the reason is his high position and high social status at that time", said Professor of higher levels of the seminary of Qom, referring to the basis of the accusations against Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.).
"Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) supported the Prophet (p.b.u.h) in full when He had no support", Ayatollah Alavi Gorgani added.
"We pray that God will bless you and all those who participate in this, and that you will be under the support of the AhlulBayt (a.s.)", he prayed.
While re-appreciating the organizers of the International Conference of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) and the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Ayatollah Ramazani, this Shiite source of emulation emphasized, "This (conference) is one of the basic services to the Islamic world. God willing, give me a copy of conference works whenever they are published so that I can read them."
International Conference "Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.); Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)" will be held from March 9 to 11, 2021.
At the beginning of the meeting, while explaining the reasons for holding the International Conference "Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.); Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)", Deputy Secretary General and Deputy of Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Hujat al-Islam Ahmadi Tabar, provided a report on the performance of the conference secretariat in academic, cultural, and dimensions.
"The conference was initially proposed in 2018 and was scheduled to be held in February 2020. However, due to the spread of coronavirus, its holding was postponed. Therefore, the conference secretariat has decided to hold the conference on March 9, 10 and 11, 2021 – in month of Rajab and Hazrat Abu Talib's demise anniversary", Hujat al-Islam Ahmadi Tabar added.
Expressing the importance of paying attention to the personality and position of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), Ahmadi Tabar said, "He is an oppressed figure in Islam, and this led the Assembly to hold this conference at the international level so that all accusations against this high-ranking figure can be answered once and for all, and the various dimensions of his personality can be meticulously examined."
"Due to the efforts of the conference secretariat, appropriate measures have been taken in calling the articles, and measures have been taken to further strengthen the scientific contents so that the articles on the remaining important topics can be prepared and finalized quickly", he added.
"In order to strengthen the academic dimension of the conference, we are to hold a series of specialized meetings focusing on examining the different dimensions of the personality of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), with the presence of well-known domestic and international experts in this academic field", said the Deputy of Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
“As another activity which are performing, there are specialized interviews with Iranian and international professors and scholars, Shiites and Sunnis, about Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) that will be recorded according to the standards of the Radio and Television and will be broadcast on national media during the demise anniversary of this figure”, Ahmadi Tabar added.
