Ziyarat Ashura, analysis of half a century of Islamic history: Ayatollah Ramazani
The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “During the time of Imam Hussain (a.s.) some people tried to destroy the intellectual flow and political and spiritual authority. Ziyarat Ashura is an analysis of half a century of Islamic history.”
On Monday morning, August 8, 2022, in the mourning ceremony on the Ashura of Imam Hussain (a.s.) (10th day of Muharram) in the courtyard of the shrine of Lady Fatimah Okhra (a.s.), sister of Imam Reza (a.s.) in Rasht, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “Imam Ali (a.s.) was the educational miracle of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h).”
The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “By his 23 years of efforts, the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) made monotheistic discourse prevail over ethnicism. The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) convince everyone with his reasoning.”
“Cultural and educational work requires more time. The first component of Islamic civilization is Tawhid (monotheism). The system should be based on monotheism so that it paves the way for human development and education,” he added.
“Regarding society and social affairs, the goal of divine prophets has been to establish justice. In a short period of time and under that circumstances, Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) educated the people of the Age of Ignorance.
Referring to the people whom Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) was facing, Ayatollah Ramazani noted, “The first group expected miracles, and the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) showed them. The second group did not want a miracle because the discourse and speech of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) was a miracle for them. Finally, the third group, in addition to grumbling, did not accept miracles.”
“Without an interpreter of religion and a scientific authority, religion will be distorted. After the demise of Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h), the scientific, spiritual, and political authority should have been introduced. Therefore, God chose and introduced his choice, Imam Ali (a.s.). If the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) had not introduced a religious leader as his successor, there would have been nothing left of Islam,” said the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.
“The Ghadir Event is the continuation of the expression and discourse of Tawhid (monotheism). After the demise of Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h), Islamic authority was gradually removed and the reference of the people to Imam Ali (a.s.) was sporadic,” he said.
“During the time of Imam Hussain (a.s.) some people tried to destroy the intellectual flow and political and spiritual authority. Ziyarat Ashura is an analysis of half a century of Islamic history,” Ayatollah Ramazani continued.
“Since 100 years ago, Britain has sought to create discord between Shia and Sunni, and to create heretical sects such as Baha'ism and Wahhabism, as well as destroying the graves of Imams (a.s.). Throughout history, many schools of thought have excluded or denied the fact of recourse and intercession of AhlulBayt (a.s.),” noted the Secretary-General of AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
“Today, there are intellectual designers in the world who spread discord among Shiite and Sunni. People like Marx designed a school of thought and people like Stalin and Lenin implemented it,” he said.
“After the Ashura Event, some people forbade talking about the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s.) in sermons and shamelessly called Yazid a mujtahid!” Ayatollah Ramazani stated.
“The enemies of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) were either seeking to usurp the authority of the Infallible Imams (a.s.) by removing them intellectually, or they were looking for removing them physically,” stated the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.
“Vali-ye faqih must be jurist, just, manager, tactful, and politician. Society needs leaders, and this is an accepted and defined issue throughout the world,” Ayatollah Ramazani expressed.
“When we don’t have access to the Infallibles (a.s.), at least justice should be established in the society. According to Islam, not everyone is allowed to lead the society, unless he has infallibility and justice. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei is the most suitable person in this position,” said the Secretary-General of AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the end.
