Hojat al-Islam Pahlavanzadeh Behbahani, the director of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Assembly, Iraq’s office, attended the exhibition and visited the activities.

It should be mentioned that three Iranian publishers, “Iranian Cultural Counselor in Baghdad”, “Iranian Book and Literature House”, and “Abrar Moaser Institute”, also participated in the exhibition, and in cooperation with each other, they established the National Pavilion of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fourth hall of the Baghdad International Book Fair, in an area of 75 square meters, and presented about 1,200 titles of books, in the form of 13,000 volumes, with religious, cultural, artistic, political, Iranian studies, etc. topics in Persian and Arabic to Iraqi visitors.

Various literary and cultural meetings were held during the Baghdad Book Fair. Among these meetings was the meeting of the Cultural Advisor of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the subject of the martyrdom of General Qassem Soleimani and Hajj Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes, in which Hojat al-Islam Fallah Al-Qureshi delivered a speech.

The 22nd Baghdad Book Fair was well received by the Iraqi people, and the sales of the participating publishers were good.

Haj Qassem international martyr of resistance: Ramazani

Haj Qassem international martyr of resistance: Ramazani

During the visit to Iraq, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and his accompanying delegation met former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, a member of the General-Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Haj Qassem international martyr of resistance: Ramazani

In this meeting, on the issue of resistance in Islam, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “The Quranic verses refer to resistance and jihad, and these issues can be explained based on rational arguments.”

“Expansionism, tyranny, and exploitation are not the objectives of the resistance in Islam, but its goal is to elevate the word of truth and free the oppressed from the clutches of the arrogant. Countering authoritarianism and the domination flow are also among objectives of the resistance,” he added.

“I had several important and public meetings with the Iraqi elites, nomads, and youth. I saw that they consider the fight against arrogance as their main views, and this is thanks to the revolution (of Iran) and the thoughts of Imam Khomeini,” he said, regarding the idea of the fight against arrogance among the Iraqi people.

“Today, the Resistance has become an international and global flow, and Haj Qassem is a martyr of the resistance in the international arena.” emphasized the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“The arrogant flow expends a lot much in Bahrain, Iraq, and Afghanistan, but failed to achieve the result. In contrast, the resistance movement emerged as a global power. National and international unity can contribute to strengthening the flow of resistance. Therefore, it is necessary for us to try to introduce Islam comprehensively, accurately, and deeply. Islamic scholars also must be diligent in theorizing this thought,” he said, regarding the successive defeats of the arrogant flow in the world.

“We consider resistance to be the same as divine rationality and mercy, and all human society should benefit from this mercy,” stated Ayatollah Ramazani.

“Islamic unity should not be seen as a tactic, but as a method. Unity is a Quranic method attributed to the Ahl al-Bayt. Also, extremism must be confronted, from all walks of life, whether Shiite or Sunni,” he said, regarding the need for Islamic unity.

“Those in charge of religious policy must seriously consider the principles and foundations of politics. Also, the Machiavellian view, which exists in some Islamic countries, must be hated and confronted,” said the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in another part of his speech.

“You have proved in practice that in order to achieve the lofty goals, you pay attention to the unity of Iraq and are subject to the Marjaiat. These cases show that you follow Velayat and authority. You accepted the responsibility to serve and develop the culture of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) as a trust,” he said addressing Nouri al-Maliki.

“The world has turned to political and social Islam, and to attract human societies we can provide the world with the most accurate concepts. Today, there is no room for experimentation and risk-taking, and our smallest mistake may be a threat in the way to achieve the great results,” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Today, we are in the midst of a great movement, and we want to step on the path of Islamic civilization, and more importantly, we want to use all this as a prelude to the Advent of Imam Mahdi (a.s.). On the other hand, the most important element of Advent is the realization of justice in human societies. Imam Khomeini said in this regard that we act according to the verse “أَنْ تَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ مَثْنَى وَ فُرَادَى” (that you rise up for Allah’s sake, in pairs or singly) (Quran, Sura Saba’, verse 46), the dignity of Muslims will be achieved,” he said in the end.

In Iraq, the enemies seek to create Shiite-Shiite sedition: al-Maliki

Following the meeting, Nouri al-Maliki, the former Iraqi Prime Minister, and a member of the General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “In the past, some people called politics najis (unclean), believing that it is enough to go to mosques, and we should only deal with the worship rules of Islam. But the period of these words is over.”

“In the history of the beginning of Islam, we read that in the time of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h), Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (Prophet’s Mosque) was the center of government and decisions for peace and war. Also, the economic decisions were made in the mosque,” he continued.

“According to the hadiths, if a Muslim hears the voice of an oppressed Muslim, he should respond to that voice, and help the oppressed, and this is not possible without entering the field of politics. Helping the oppressed people of Palestine is possible only through entering politics,” added the former Iraqi Prime Minister.

“Martyr Sadr said that with the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini fulfilled the wish of the divine prophets, and after the victory of the revolution, Islamic movements emerged,” stated Nouri al-Maliki, referring to the characteristics of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

“The United States fears the formation of a global axis centered on countries such as Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Bahrain, and Afghanistan. These countries are economic powers and can form a rival axis against the American axis. The United States seeks to prevent the formation of such an axis,” he continued.

“No action can be taken without creating unity among the Muslim Ummah, and one of the most important tasks of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, is to unite Muslims,” added the member of the General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“In Iraq, the enemies are seeking to create a Shiite-Shiite sedition to hit the Shiites of the country,” said Nouri al-Maliki, referring to the events in Iraq.

“Today, we are witnessing victories that we did not even imagine achieving before. One of these victories was the victory of Gaza in the recent battle against the Zionist regime,” he said.

In modernity age, we must provide comprehensive, accurate, deep definition of Islam: Ramazani

In modernity age, we must provide comprehensive, accurate, deep definition of Islam: Ramazani

Following the meeting with Iraqi personalities, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, met Sheikh Humam al-Hamoudi, Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq.

In the modernity age, we must provide a comprehensive, accurate, in-depth definition of Islam

Expressing satisfaction with the meeting with Sheikh Humam al-Hamoudi, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “The great ulama have been members of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, and today it is necessary to strengthen this institution.”

“Religion has been entrusted to us, and it is important that we be able to manage the social, cultural, and political dimensions of religion in world developments,” he said.

“Not only in Europe they are trying to introduce the minimum of religion, but even in Pakistan, some scholars believe that some verses of the Holy Quran should be removed! Some even believe that the Qur’an is not a book of the law, but only preaching,” stated Ayatollah Ramazani referring to the fact that many intellectuals are trying to introduce the minimum of religion.

“Today, with international ideas and developments in the age of modernity based on liberalism, we must introduce all aspects of Islam. According to Imam Khomeini, we must introduce religion with the utmost vision and be present in the social and political arenas,” continued the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Experts, emphasizing that we must provide a comprehensive, accurate, and deep definition of Islam.

“We need to convey religious concepts to young people in an attractive way, and now is the best time to introduce the Islamic lifestyle,” he said.

“In Europe and America, there are more than 4,000 fake spiritualities, and some even introduce godless mysticism. At this point, the role of the ulama becomes very prominent. Religious scholars once answered the doubts of the future, and today is the time. Today in world management, scientific personalities such as the martyr Sayed Mohammad Baqwr Sadr could be influential,” he added.

In another part of his speech, introducing the different sections of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Ayatollah Ramazani invited Sheikh Humam al-Hamoudi to attend the assembly.

Thanks to the Supreme Leader, Iran is influential in the world

Referring to the spread of Islam in the world, Sheikh Humam al-Hamoudi, Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq said, “Islam has become an international issue, and international issues are interrelated.”

“To counter the Shiite school, the enemies created ISIL, so that the Shiites and the Sunnis would fight each other. Of course, the people of the world distinguish between ISIL and Muslims, because they know that Islamic groups, such as Hezbollah, do not attack civilians,” added the Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq.

“Islam has spread to Europe, and the Muslim community in European countries is influencing the social situation of these countries. Enemies, on the other hand, offer European Islam, which is based on secularism,” stated Humam al-Hamoudi, considering Islam to be expanding.

“Iraq influences the issues of other countries. We must work for the unity of the Shiite communities,” he mentioned.

ABWA can be effective in communicating with Iraqi elite, youth: Ayatollah Ramazani

ABWA can be effective in communicating with Iraqi elite, youth: Ayatollah Ramazani

During his visit to Iraq, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly met the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Iraj Masjedi.

Saying that we have had the strongest relations with Iraq in various fields, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “Given the existence of different parties in Iraq, there is a need for comprehensive planning in communicating with Iraq’s elites of society and the government.”

“Previously, we did not think we would reach this level of relations between Iran and Iraq. At present, Iran’s relations with other countries are not as extensive as those with Iraq. Due to the many commonalities, it is easy to work in Iraq. But there are also some differences in this regard,” he continued.

“Neither a mere negative outlook and despair is appropriate, nor an absolutely positive outlook. Rather, there should be a conditional positive attitude with caution. From experience, we conclude that we should have a positive but conditional view,” he emphasized.

“We must be connected to the Iraqi society and the young generation. Unfortunately, we have neglected the field of educating the youth in Iraq, and we have not had any educational programs. Therefore, we must communicate with the Iraqi elite, as influential elements, and the Iraqi youth and the Assembly can play a role in this regard,” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly about the necessity of communication with the Iraqi society, referring to Iran’s regional power.

“The Assembly does not have a mere traditional approach to activities. Today, if we do not have a strategy for cyberspace, we will suffer in this field. The enemy’s cyberspace is in our homes and we must work hard in this regard,” he said, regarding the new plans of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Iran’s ambassador and Cultural Attaché in Iraq and the Assembly’s representative in the country should not work only for Iraq because Iraq has an international capacity. Iraq can enter into cultural interactions on the world stage, and we can play a role in this regard. Therefore, it is necessary to use the capacity of the cities of Karbala, Najaf, Baghdad, and the shrine of Imam Hussein (a.s.) and the shrine of Hazrat Abbas (a.s.),” stated Ayatollah Ramazani.

“Grand Ayatollah Sistani has an international capacity. The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly is the connecting link between the Marjaiat and the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.) in the world,” he emphasized.

“We must stand up to the United States and not give in to it. This is the meaning of resistance jurisprudence. In the meeting we had with the elites of Samarra, everyone agreed on the fight against arrogance. Imam Khomeini’s global influence in the fight against arrogance can be seen in these situations. Today, Iraq and other countries are fighting against oppression, while in the past no one dared to do so,” he said, emphasizing the need for communication between Iranian and Iraqi scholars.

“In the issue of proximity of Shiite and Sunni schools, and the section related to the AhlulBayt (a.s.), we declare our readiness for cooperation,” said the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, introducing the city of Samarra as an important platform for proximity between Sunni and Shia.

At the beginning of the meeting, Iraj Masjedi, Iran’s ambassador to Iraq, presented a report to the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly on the rise of Shiite parties in Iraq after the fall of Saddam and the hardships to which these groups are facing, the problems of Shiite groups to serve the people after coming to power, American Evils and Conspiracies, the rise of ISIL and other terrorist groups in Iraq, the position of Al-Hashd Al-Shabi (Iraqi popular Mobilization forces) and resistance groups in this country, Iran’s capabilities and successes in Iraq, the role and position of Grand Ayatollah Sistani, and Marjaiat in the Iraqi political arena, the need to communicate with the Iraqi people and parties, the need to work in the cultural and social fields of Iraq, and the policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its requirements in the new conditions.

Ground prepared for great Islamic civilization: Ramazani/Iran-Iraq bilateral cooperation developing: Adel Abdul Mahdi

Ground prepared for great Islamic civilization: Ramazani/Iran-Iraq bilateral cooperation developing: Adel Abdul Mahdi

Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, met Adel Abdul Mahdi, former Iraqi Prime Minister, and a member of the General-Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Ground prepared for great Islamic civilization

In this meeting, referring to Dr. Adel Abdul Mahdi’s views on Iran, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “One of our main plans (on this trip to Iraq) was to meet you. I know your scientific character, your presence in France, and your cultural activities. You have a very positive view of Iran, and during your tenure as Iraq’s prime minister, you provided invaluable services in building interaction between Iran and Iraq. Also, valuable actions have been taken in your course.”

“Today, we must take an up-to-date look at religious, value, and moral activities and pay serious attention to cyberspace. Also, in our views to our audience, we need to seriously reconsider. The youth should be our serious audience, and we should pay special attention to the Quranic lifestyle,” continued Ayatollah Ramazani.

“Certainly, there has never been an opportunity to propagate Islam in the international arena like today. The most detailed scientific discussions about Islam are now taking place at major universities around the world, including Harvard, Cambridge, and the Sorbonne. I have been in contact with the Sorbonne University for about 11 years and this relationship still continues. The most detailed Islamic issues, including attention to seminary schools, in Qom, Najaf, Karbala, Mashhad, and Samarra are taking place there,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“We are now facing the fact of the spread of fake spirituality in the West. Today, there are more than 4,000 fact spiritualities and newfound mysticism such as Osho. Therefore, we must create a discourse for spirituality and rationality based on the Book (Quran) and traditions (of the Prophet). We are now facing changes and distortions in concepts such as justice, spirituality, rationality, and resistance. So, we must strive to express the Islamic view in these areas. However, it seems that the 21st century will be a century of spirituality,” said Ayatollah Ramazani, referring to the spread of fake spiritualities in the world.

“Iraq can be one of the spiritual centers in the world. Because there are six great Imams buried in this country, each of whom can be a model for human society. Of course, the Infallible Imams (a.s.) are not just for the Shiite audience, and I believe that they can be role models for the Shiites, Muslims, followers of other religions, and (even) for the whole of human society,” he continued.

The strategy that we emphasize in the new era in the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly is based on rationality, spirituality, justice, and resistance, and all these concepts should be explained based on the school of the AhlulBayt (a.s.). The infallible Imams (a.s.) themselves demand the same from us. This statement of Imam Sadeq (a.s.) makes us ponder that he said, “We want our followers to be wise, understanding, knowledgeable, with forbearance, patience, loyalty, and tolerance.” This hadith indicates that human society should move towards a deep understanding, rationality, and moral values such as patience, forbearance, fidelity, and tolerance,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“We must think, be careful and plan for the youth, women, and lifestyle in Islamic civilization. In a letter to the youth of the West, the Supreme Leader of the Revolution also pointed out very precise and profound points. Attention to women is also essential. Half of the world’s population is made up of women, and they can make a difference in the religious, cultural, and social spheres. They have a significant capacity. In my opinion, the religion of Islam and the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) are among the strong defenders of women’s rights,” said Ayatollah Ramazani.

“There are opportunities for us that provide the ground for the realization of a great Islamic civilization. Accordingly, the study of the Arbaeen is very important. Arbaeen has a great potential for the realization of true spirituality. The most important spiritual conference in the Islamic world is Hajj, but Arbaeen is the largest spiritual conference of Muslims in the world,” he specified, considering it necessary to pay attention to the discussion of lifestyle in Islamic civilization.

“Dr. Adel Abdul Mahdi pointed out the important point that there is an interaction between rationality and resistance. I want to say that resistance is the rule of rationality, and even higher, resistance is the same as rationality,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Today, there are two groups of intellectuals and extremists among Muslims, and both groups hit Islam like two scissors. One group advocates compassionate Islam, and some enlightened thinkers seek absolute peace even with enemies. While there is no absolute peace in Islam and peace must be based on justice. Unfortunately, another group is committing terror and violence, and it has caused us to face not only Islamophobia but also anti-Islamism today,” said Ayatollah Ramazani, referring to the need to avoid extremism.

“We believe that the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) was sent by God as a prophet to spread mercy in the world. Resistance to tyranny and arrogance is not only divine mercy, but also it is divine mercy itself. Many verses of the Holy Quran are about resistance. There are 400 Quranic verses related to war, jihad, and resistance. As for Khums, according to some, there is one verse and according to others, there are 4 to 5 verses. There are less than 100 verses in the Quran about prayer, the pillar of Islam,” he continued.

“Today, thanks to the blood of Martyr Soleimani, the resistance movement has become an international movement, and the effects of this martyr’s blood are definitely greater than his life. Coordination between Iran and Iraq is very valuable in terms of resistance. The holy blood of Martyr Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes were mixed, and this is a metaphor for the inseparable unity of the Iranian and Iraqi nations. In this regard, today we have a very important responsibility and mission,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Many people did not believe that in the age of liberalism, Islam could play a role in the social sphere. But Imam Khomeini made it clear to us that Islam in the political arena can govern society, and with his great movement (the Islamic Revolution of Iran), the social rules of Islam were revived. Now the greatest power to oppose the West and Westernism is Islam, which has developed quantitatively and qualitatively in the world, and the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, as a religious reformer, the Imam of Muslims and a source of emulation, is influential in this regard,” he mentioned.

Iran-Iraq bilateral cooperation developing: Adel Abdul Mahdi

Following the meeting, expressing his satisfaction with the meeting with Ayatollah Ramazani, Adel Abdul Mahdi said, “It is a great honor for me to meet the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly. This is an important meeting to learn about the scientific position of Ayatollah Ramazani. I participated in the expansion of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in Europe, including in France, and the establishment of this Assembly was very important.”

“These days are the anniversary of the demise of Imam Khomeini. He saved not only the Iranian nation, but the Islamic world, and the whole world. He changed the world from east to west,” he continued.

“Without rationality, one cannot have spirituality. In the current state of the world, if we have no resistance, we will not be able to change the situation. Rationality and resistance are both the same. But each is a different tool for achieving a single goal,” stated the former Iraqi Prime Minister, considering the four strategies of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly as interrelated.

“All those who were appointed as the Secretary-General of this assembly were great scholars and suitable personalities for this position. This shows that Imam Khamenei has a good choice,” stated Adel Abdul Mahdi, referring to the Supreme Leader’s appropriate appointment for the post of Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“After all the efforts to normalize relations between the Arab countries and Israel, in the two-week war between Israel and Gaza, everything changed, and the Islamic nations stood up. Sometimes the enemy defeats us with the power he has, but we can make up for that defeat with victory. Because we have the right, justice, and the Infallible Imams (a.s.). Saddam’s regime ruled Iraq for 35 years and instilled fear in the people and imprisoned its opponents. But we, who were a small population, were able to win and finally, that tyranny was eliminated,” added the former Iraqi Prime Minister.

“Today, millions of people participate in the Arbaeen pilgrimage. This pilgrimage is not only related to Iraq but also the Islamic world and the whole world. Arbaeen pilgrimage lasts about 40 days and the number of participants in this ceremony is more than the number of pilgrims in Hajj. This happens only with the power of faith. Power is not about having government and property. Rather, our strength is based on faith. Of course, there are problems. The enemy is not weak and seeks to hit us. After the martyrdom of Martyr Soleimani, thousands of Mujahideen have taken the path of this martyr. It can even be said that now, “Martyr Soleimani” is stronger than “General Soleimani” alive,” stated Adel Abdul Mahdi, referring to the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

“In favor of Muslims and Shiites, Iran sacrificed many of its interests, and this is obvious. Some accuse Iran of being sectarian, while Iran supports the Palestinian people who are Sunnis, and because of this support, it has suffered a lot of pressure and sanctions. One of the factors of our victory is the tyranny of the enemies. They cannot convince people of their actions. Examining Israeli newspapers, I noticed that there are many internal conflicts between the Zionists. They are suffering from extremism within themselves. We see signs of victory, and there are many signs of moving forward,” he continued.

“Due to Iran’s toughness, the Palestinians’ view has changed, and now, Hamas in the middle of Gaza praises the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Supreme Leader,” added the former Iraqi Prime Minister.

“Some in Iraq, and some in Iran, oppose the relationship between the two countries. These animosities have existed since the colonial period, and are disappearing. In these matters, one should not be superficial. There is solidarity between the nations of Iran and Iraq, and the blood of the martyrs of these two countries is mixed. Bilateral cooperation between Iran and Iraq continues and will develop,” continued the member of the General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“In interacting with others, martyr Soleimani paid attention to detail and was well aware of the situation around him. He worked to unite the ranks and bring others closer together. Without Martyr Soleimani, the battle with ISIL could not have been won. He personally went on reconnaissance operations of dangerous areas. He was the last person to leave before the fall of Tal Afar. Martyr Soleimani was on the front lines in the battles and did not accept being behind the line, and we saw this in the battles in Iraq and Syria. Martyr Soleimani was a politician, a great diplomat, and a prominent warrior. His stability in battles shattered the equations of the enemy. Martyr Soleimani was a great mujahid, but he was extremely humble,” stated Adel Abdul Mahdi considering Martyr Soleimani a strategic figure.

Shiites, Sunnis must be vigilant against enemies’ divisiveness: Ayatollah Ramazani

Shiites, Sunnis must be vigilant against enemies’ divisiveness: Ayatollah Ramazani

In a meeting with the elites, nomadic sheikhs, and Sunni scholars of Samarra, while appreciating the Shiite and Sunni Mujahideen of al-Hashd al-Sha’bi (Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces) who provided security in the region, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Muslims can be a world power. Muslims have a lot in common, and elements of divisiveness must be avoided.”

“In the past, great Sunni and Shiite scholars wrote commentaries on each other’s books, and there were even Shiite jurists who taught the four Sunni schools,” he noted, stating that the view among Shiite and Sunni scholars in Samarra is gratifying.

“Today, the enemies of Islam have mobilized all their resources to divide and destroy the rule of Islam. But we must be vigilant against the enemies’ policy of “divide and rule”,” added, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“In the last century, great scholars such as the late Grand Ayatollah Boroujerdi, Sheikh Shaltout, Sheikh Mohammad Abduh, Kawakbi, Sayed Jamaluddin Asadabadi, and others, discussed the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the unity of Islamic nations,” Ayatollah Ramazani said, emphasizing the Islamic unity between Shiites and Sunnis.

“The history of friendship between Islamic Iran and Iraq is very long. But if this relationship between the two countries increases to 50 countries, and the Islamic countries and the oppressed unite, a power will be created against the West, and they even will overcome the West,” stated the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.

“Alhamdulillah, thanks to the forces of al-Hashd al-Sha’bi (Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces), General Haj Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes, Takfiri groups were destroyed,” he added, stating that ISIL and other terrorist groups were created and paid for by the West and were intended to cause terror among Islamic communities.

“Our words and the Marjaiiat of the Islamic Iran and Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader, are the same words of Grand Ayatollah Sistani who said “Sunnis are our souls”,” Ayatollah Ramazani said in the end.

We need committed scientific figures, influential in Intl. arena: Ayatollah Ramazani

We need committed scientific figures, influential in Intl. arena: Ayatollah Ramazani

Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and his accompanying delegation visited the University of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) in the city of Karbala, Iraq.

In a meeting with the officials of the University, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “Compared to the many universities that I have visited, the characteristic of the University of AhlulBayt (a.s.) in Karbala is that it is a scientific and revolutionary university, and it is engaged in educating the Iraqi youth. This is commendable, and in this regard, I congratulate the university officials.”

“Western thinkers have discussed the conflict between reason and religion at various times in history, believing that “The intellectuals of society do not turn to religion!” However, according to the hadiths, “One who does not have wisdom does not follow the religion.” Therefore, we need the interaction between wisdom and religion, and knowledge and religion,” he stated, regarding the background of the interaction between wisdom and religion.

“Today, Muslim scholars who teach at the Sorbonne or other Western universities are allowed to teach the history of Islamic sects but are not allowed to propagate the religion. If the officials of those universities feel that someone is trying to defend or propagate the religion, they will expel him. Therefore, religion has no place in Western universities and scientific fields. Thus, religion has often been marginalized, and some thought that religion could not play a role in the social sphere, and was limited to the individual sphere,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Western scholars developed knowledge, saying that society is governed by knowledge and that religion cannot play a role in governing society. In this atmosphere, even western theorists believed that there would be no religious revolution in the world and revolutions would be secular. But Imam Khomeini said, “Religion has a plan in the field of governing society” and “this governing is also possible in the postmodern era”. Because some believe that “The age of modernity or postmodernism is the age of transition from religion in all areas”. But according to Imam Khomeini’s perspective, religion can play an active role in social and intellectual spheres at all times,” he continued.

“Such universities can train scholars who are committed to Islam. All professors can play the role of moral educators for students. Professors can be both teachers and moral educators, and the student must be morally educated by professors. We need committed scientific figures who are influential in the international arena,” said Ayatollah Ramazani, regarding the mission of AhlulBayt (a.s.) University of Karbala.

It should be mentioned that before the speech of the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, several officials of the University of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) of Karbala presented a report on various departments, activities, and graduates of the University, and emphasized further relations with the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and the scientific centers of Iran.
