Logic, rationality, necessary to achieve peace: Shiite Assembly founder in Nepal

Emphasizing the necessity of establishing Islamic unity among Muslims, Hojat al-Islam Zain Al-Abedin, the founder of the Shiite Assembly in Nepal, considered logic and rationality necessary to achieve peace.

In the webinar of the 36th Islamic Unity Conference, considering holding the conference very useful for sharing experiences between ulama, dignitaries, elites and youth, Hojat al-Islam Zain Al-Abedin, an Islamic thinker and the founder of the Shiite Assembly in Nepal stated, “No sect, school or religion can deny the necessity of Islamic unity.”

Pointing out the developments in today’s world in the field of technology, he argued, “Today, with the possibility of holding virtual meetings, we can also have a data server for the Islamic unity and use this technology for Muslim youth and elites and provide them with it.”

“This will be achieved when we are united with each other in the authenticity of Islam, Prophet of Islam (p.b.u.h) and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school,” the Muslim scholar stated.

“To achieve peace, the necessities are logic, rationality, speaking based on reasoning, and sometimes silence,” he added, “When we are united in major and general issued, why should we highlight the differences in trivial issues?”

“For the sake of the Quran and AhlulBayt (a.s.), which all Muslims agree on and accept, we must unite with each other and avoid division and conflict,” Zain Al-Abedin further stated, referring to the Quran and AhlulBayt (a.s.) as a model of unity.

“After the conquest of Mecca, the Prophet (a.s.) was looking for an excuse to forgive the infidels. Division is an English policy, and the enemy wants to divide us,” he noted.

“If the Muslim countries were united, there would not have been the oppression against Muslims and Palestine, as it is the case today,” continued the member of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Referring to the explosion in the mosques, the Nepali scholar stated, “Mosques are not the places for explosions, whether it is Shiite or Sunni Mosque. When Hindus talk about Islamic countries, they say “You Muslims don’t even pity yourselves”, and we have nothing to say in their response.”

At the end of his speech, he called on the youth to unity, and emphasized, “You must prove the value of Islam and Muslims to the world.”

It is worth mentioning that Hojat al-Islam Zain Al-Abedin from Nepal participated in the 7th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly which was held on September 1-3 this year at Iran International Conference Center in Tehran. /345/
