Qom, Najaf seminaries should increase scientific sessions, interactions: Eskandari

The Secretary of the Scientific Conference Umana Al-Rosol (Trustees of the Messengers) stated, “The Qom and Najaf seminaries should increase scientific sessions and interactions in order to reach more achievements.”

ABWA Official Website - On Thursday morning, November 24, 2022, at the Scientific Conference Umana Al-Rosol (Trustees of the Messengers), which was held at the Imam Kazem (a.s.) Seminary, the scientific secretary of the conference stated, “Today, humanity is suffering from an oppression that is unprecedented in history.”

Hojat al-Islam Reza Eskandari added, “Today, we need intellectuals who stand against oppression and arrogance and eliminate oppression.”

Emphasizing the necessity of honoring and commemorating ulama and dignitaries, he said, “It is necessary to revive and introduce ulama and dignitaries in the society. The late Ayatollah Borujerdi significantly paved the way for the proximity of the Islamic denominations, and then other dignitaries, such as Allameh Abd al-Husayn Sharaf al-Din al-Musawi and Martyr Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr, followed his path.”

“This conference is dedicated to introducing Shiite ulama and dignitaries,” the secretary of the Scientific Conference Umana Al-Rosol said, “By introducing our dignitaries, we should guide the world towards prosperity and felicity, and lead Muslims to the path of light and felicity. We also must fight against the darkness and misery that has been created in the world,”

On the importance of cooperation between Najaf and Qom seminaries, he said, “Considering the history and dynamics of these two important seminaries, we can reach the holy objectives. As we held a conference in Iraq and Iran to honor Allameh Al-Khersan, I hope that we will be able to hold commemoration ceremonies for other dignitaries as well.”

“The Qom and Najaf seminaries should increase scientific sessions and interactions in order to reach more achievements,” Eskandari said at the end.

It worth mentioning that the Najaf section of the “1st Conference of the Umana al-Rosol (Trustees of the Messengers): Commemoration of the Grand Ayatollah Sayed Muhammad Mahdi Al-Musawi Al-Khersan” with research meetings was held in the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (a.s.). The closing ceremony of this section was also held on the Tuesday evening, October 18, 2022, in the conference hall of Lady Fatimah Zahra (a.s.), and the authors of the selected articles and a number of organizers of the conference were appreciated.

Also, the two holy shrines of Imam Ali (a.s.) and Imam Hussain (a.s.), as well as about 30 scientific and cultural institutions – including the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly – have participated in holding this conference. /345/
