On the sidelines of the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition, a seminar on “Educational capacities of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and India” was held at the conference hall of the Islamic Propagation Office of Qom Seminary.

ABWA Official Website – On Wednesday morning, January 5, 2023, on the sidelines of the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition, a seminar on “Educational capacities of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and India” was held at the conference hall of the Islamic Propagation Office of Qom Seminary, attended by seminary professors.

At the beginning of this seminar, while offering condolences on the martyrdom anniversary of General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, Hojat al-Islam Dr. Gholam Hossein Abedi from India stated, “India is known as the country of 72 nations. However, for a long time, all religions have had a peaceful coexistence, which originates from the eastern culture. Although some Indian governments are trying to prevent this with extremism, the general atmosphere of the society is against religious and sectarian tensions.”

“Extremist activities against Muslims have encouraged people to research about Islam, and society has inclined towards its teachings,” he added, “In modern colonialism, relying on the education of the new generation, Western civilization is trying to replace the eastern culture. Therefore, Islam can confront this problem by solving the spiritual and moral challenges and hardships of the Indian society.”

Further in the seminar, Hojat al-Islam Dr. Hassani from Afghanistan, regarding the importance of the country expressed, “Due to its location on the Silk Road, Afghanistan is considered as an important communication bridge in the region. Because of this, countries like Britain, Soviet Union and the United Stated occupied it.”

“More than 97% of the Afghan people are Muslims and have adhered to their beliefs since the past. But after the American attack and infiltration in this country, Christianity and Baha’i are expanding significantly. Colonizing powers are trying to change our religious, cultural and social identity by instilling western culture and way of thought,” he continued.

“I hope that more attention will be paid to the capacities of Afghanistan, and the way will be paved for cultural and education activities of the two countries,” Hassani said in the end.

Further in the seminar, Mr. Husameddin from Tajikistan stated, “Iran and Tajikistan share the same language with a similar culture. Despite being colonized by the Soviet Union, Tajikistan has preserved its religion and culture.”

“Western countries are trying to infiltrate to Islamic countries,” he continued, “But they have failed due to unity of the Islamic countries in terms of language, culture and civilization. A clear example of Western failure can be seen in the successes of the Resistance Front. We ask the Islamic Republic of Iran to support neighboring countries in order to witness the growth of cooperation.”

At the end of the seminar, while expressing his gratitude to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly for holding the Lights of Guidance exhibition, Hojat al-Islam Dr. Naqvi from Pakistan expressed, “Pakistan separated from India because of its adherence to Islam. But due to the infiltration of Britain, the education system of this country is planned based on the values of Western society, and schools operating with this system prepare students for immigration.”

“There is a high ability to influence through seminaries to create correct thinking in Pakistan. Five thousand Pakistani clergy have studied in Al-Mustafa (p.b.u.h) International University, which is considered a significant capacity,” he added, mentioning the situation of Shiites in North Pakistan.

“Haj Qasem Soleimani was Iranian, but he had a universal outlook. He united everyone against global arrogance. In the Jihad of enlightenment, we must use all the capacities of the Islamic world, and Iran, as mainland of Islamic countries, plays a pivotal role in this regard,” Naqvi expressed in the end.
