Webinar “Tradition of Imam Hassan Askari (a.s.) in facing of the opponents”

Webinar “Tradition of Imam Hassan Askari (a.s.) in facing of the opponents” was held in Arabic.

On Thursday, November 3, 2022, and on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the 11th Imam of the Shiites, the webinar “The tradition of Imam Hassan Askari (a.s.) in facing the opponents” was held in Arabic by the Department of the Cyberspace of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

In this webinar, Hojat al-Islam Sadeq Akhawan, a religious expert, gave a speech on the personality and moral characteristics and of Imam Hassan Askari (a.s.) - especially the way he dealt with opponents and his forgiveness - and introduced the 11th Imam as the best role model of behavior for the Islamic ummah.

Referring to verses 33 to 35 of Surah Fussilat, he said, “In these verses God says that the person who has the best speech, is who calla to God, do righteous deeds, and responds to evil with good. No one reaches this position unless he is patient. Imam Hassan Askari (a.s.) is an example of these verses, who guided people with patience, perseverance, and good speech.”

“Like his immaculate fathers and ancestors, Imam Hassan Askari (a.s.) is a perfect human, divine and Islamic role model. All aspects of that Imam’s life are instructive for the world. Like his grandfather Prophet (p.b.u.h), Imam Hassan Askari (a.s.) was a model in terms of ethics and conduct, and especially when dealing with enemies, he was very kind. Imam was so kind and friendly that even non-Muslims like Anusha Nasrani and others were fascinated by his morals,” added this religious expert.

“Even his opponents praised the good morals of the 11th Imam. Everyone who saw Imam was fascinated by his conduct. Even if someone had a grudge against Imam, he would forget all the grudge and enmity after seeing his morals,” he added.

“In addition to ethics, Imam Hassan Askari (a.s.) was also a role model in worship,” Sadegh Akhawan stated.
