AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Secretary General of the Ahlulbayt (a.s.) World Assembly offers condolences on the death of Maulana Mohammad Rafiq Qasimi, former Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.

The full text of the message is as follow:

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

"Indeed, we belong to Allah; and to Him do we indeed return"

To our deep regret, we received the sad news of the demise of the great Sunni scholar, the late Maulana Mohammad Rafiq Qasimi, former Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.

He was an activist in the field of rapprochement between Islamic sects and the unity of Muslims. He was also a supporter of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and a lover of the late Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. Maulana Rafiq Qasimi dedicated his life to the development and promotion of Islamic teachings.

I offer my condolences to all Muslims and devotees of this wise thinker, especially the scholars of India, and to the honorable family members of that pious scholar.

I further beseech Almighty God to bless his soul with His mercy and forgiveness and bestow patience upon his close relatives.

Reza Ramazani

Secretary General,

The Ahlulbayt (a.s.) World Assembly
