Late Mohagheghi Lahiji symbol of educated people in Qom Shiite school: Pour Mohammadi

At the introduction of the book “Shiite Ambassador in the West”, while offering his condolences for the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Javad (a.s.), Hojat al-Islam Mostafa Pour Mohammadi, head of the Islamic Revolution Document Center, said, “The development of Islamic culture in Central Asia, Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia and other parts of the world, has been formed by migration and propagation, and this migration and propagation has played a significant role in the development of Islamic and Shiite civilization.”

“The late Mohagheghi Lahiji is the symbol of educated people in Qom Shiite school. All of his characteristics and behavior are seen in the life of the late Sheikh Abdul Karim Haeri, founder of Qom Seminary. The late Mohagheghi Lahiji is also the symbol of this school,” he stated.

“This is our duty to protect the works and heritage of Iranian, Shiite, Islamic, and Intellectual heritage, which is unique in today’s world, and we should introduce it. These actions have begun seriously at the Islamic Revolution Document Center,” said the head of the Islamic Revolution Document Center.

“Until today, 406 memories of the Ulama’s memories are registered in the Document Center. 70 memories have been printed, and the late Mohagheghi Lahiji memories are also published,” Pour Mohammadi continued.

“In the history of Iran and Islam, the 14th century Hijri Shamsi is one of the most influential centuries that can be remembered as a milestone. At the beginning of this century, 1301.1.1 (1922.03.22), the late Sheikh Abdul Karim Haeri Yazdi travels to the holy city of Qom from Sultan Abad (Arak) to participate in the eve of the Persian new year (Nowruz). At that time, Qom’s Ulama go to him and ask him to reside in the city. After Istikharah, he accepted to stay in Qom. With the presence of Sheikh in Qom, major developments occurred in Iranian history, and since then, the Qom School was formed. With the presence of Sheikh Abdul Karim Haeri, major developments in Osul, Fiqh, Mysticism, Kalam, Philosophy, Rijal, the interpretation of the Quran, and most importantly, occurred in the social approach of the Hawzah and clerics,” stated the head of the Islamic Revolution Document Center.

“Dispatching late Mohagheghi Lahiji to Hamburg and writing letter by late Ayatollah Qomi to Cairo for Islamic unity between Sheikh Mahmud Shaltut and Ayatollah Borujerdi is one of the developments that originated from the School of Qom,” he added.

“Next year, the Islamic Revolution Document Center will hold a special program to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Qom,” said Hojat al-Islam Pour Mohammadi.

It should be mentioned that the unveiling ceremony of the book “Shiite Ambassador in the West”, a description of the efforts of Hojat al-Islam Mohammad Mohagheghi Lahiji, the first Imam of Imam Ali (a.s.)
