ABWA Official Website – The Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and his accompanying delegation participated in a ceremony titled “Unity of the Ummah” at “Fatimah Zahra (a.s.) School”, Lahore, Pakistan, with the presence of Shiite and Sunni religious elders of the city.

In this ceremony, on the necessity of unity, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “In their time, AhlulBayt (a.s.) were the axis of unity. Today, the most important issue in the Islamic world is unity. Because by means of that, we can reach political, economic, religious, and cultural authority, and reach a position where no person or country can insult Islamic countries and sanctities.”

“Quran is the source of understanding for all Muslims,” he added, “The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) is the prophet of all Muslims. Our understanding is that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) are the axis of unity of the entire Islamic Ummah. Today, the enemies plan to insult the Quran, the Prophet (p.b.u.h), and the AhlulBayt (a.s.). Therefore, through unity, we must reach a level of power so that no one dares to insult our holy things anywhere, and if someone does so, does not feel safe; as after Salman Rushdie’s blasphemy, the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) declared that he has no right to live.”

Regarding the Islamic Revolution of Iran and the need for a leader in the Islamic society, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “The biggest event of the century (20th) was the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and the people rose and made a revolution for (revival of) religion. Imam Khomeini (r.a.) believed in his path and showed the authority of Islam to the world in a powerful way. And today, Imam Khamenei continues the same path and is the flag bearer of confronting the tyrants of the world.”

“Jihad in the Quran refers to confrontation with the enemies of religion (Islam),” he added, “Imam Khomeini’s emphasis on the need to liberate Palestine shows the priority of the matter in the Islamic world. Because the Zionists are the criminals of the century, and they have the most cases of violations of international laws on their record. Therefore, Muslims should be united and sympathetic, and take steps to liberate Quds.”

About the conspiracies solicited by the enemies, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “Today, the enemies of Islam seek to create discord among Muslims. Therefore, Muslim leaders must stop these seditions. On the other hand, the West is looking for conversion and shutting down Shariah laws, and destroying the religion of the youth. Therefore, it is necessary for young people to take care of their religion and strengthen their faith by grasping the divine thread.”

“Today, the West seeks to attack Islam and the Quran, and only Islam stands against the West. On the other hand, the Quran is the book of life, and Muslims have social and individual responsibility in various issues,” he continued.

“The greatest danger that threatens Islamic society is ignorance, and Imam Hussain (a.s.) was martyred to destroy ignorance,” said the professor of the higher levels of the seminary in the end.

Also in this ceremony, Mufti Ashiq Hussain, one of the Sunni elders of Pakistan, while expressing his gratitude to Ayatollah Ramazani for his visit to the country, stated, “We denounce the desecration of the Quran in Sweden. This brazen action on Eid al-Adha led to the anger and sadness of Muslims around the world. The enemies of Islam cannot tolerate unity among Muslims. Therefore, they try to destroy the unity of Muslims by dividing them. All Muslims, especially the ulama and intellectuals of the Islamic world, must therefore stop the evil plots of the enemies of Muslims with unity and integrity.”

Also, Mohammad Sharif Gujar said in this meeting, “By holding this meeting, this message will broadcast to the world that in Pakistan ulama of Islam are united.”

“The friendship between Iran and Saudi Arabia means the death of infidels. The restoration of relations between t two countries created a new positive atmosphere in the entire region,” he continued.

Further, Mufti Mubasher Nezami said, “Such meetings increase the love between ulama and Muslims, and this is the truth of Islam. If everyone moves in this direction, the world of disbelief will be destroyed.”

Molana Shakil al-Rahman Nasser, one of the ulama of Ahl-e Hadith, in this ceremony, stated, “We are Muslims and we say the word “لا اله الا الله” (There is no god but Allah), and try to communicate with Shiites.”

Then, Hafiz Kazem Reza Naqvi said, “Fatima Zahra (a.s.) Mosque in Pakistan was destroyed and we rebuilt it with the unity of Muslims. We also built a school named Zainabiyah. These works are the result of the alliance between Ashiq Hussain and Allameh Iftikhar Naqvi.”

In the continuation of the meeting, Allameh Sheikh Shubair Hassan Maithami said, “The effective role played by the ulama of Lahore in creating unity among Muslims deserves to be appreciated. The unity of the Ummah, which was founded by the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.), has turned into a stout tree today and taken the colonialists and great powers down a peg.”

Stating that “Imam Khomeini (r.a.) was a blessing and a gift from God for the Islamic Ummah,” about the disrespect of the Holy Quran in Sweden he said, “Desecration of the Holy Quran is not only an example of freedom of speech, encourages violence, spreading hatred, and supporting Islamophobia.”

Also, Allameh Syed Iftikhar Hussain Naqvi said, “The path that the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) showed to Muslims was an important measure for the promotion of Islam, the path that the Supreme Leader of the Revolution continues. God willing, we will pray in Quds soon under the leadership of Imam Khamenei.”
