The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “We are very far from the creation of the Prophet Muhammad’s (p.b.u.h) conduct. We need to know his path, and today’s human society needs to follow the example of the Prophet.

Prophet’s morality played key role in promoting Islam: Ayatollah Ramazani

On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, in a speech to the staff of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, while congratulating on the occasion of the beginning of the month of Rabiʽ al-Awwal, about the success factors of the mission of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h), Ayatollah Reza Ramazani said, “Some consider the sword of Imam Ali (a.s.) and the wealth of Khadija (a.s.) as the factors of this success, which is not an accurate analysis.”

“When the Prophet was in Mecca, he did not touch the sword for 13 years. There was either no talk of war in Medina for several years. The wars imposed on the Prophet took place when he emigrated from Mecca to Medina,” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“In the 80 wars imposed on the Prophet (p.b.u.h), a maximum of 3,000 people were killed on each side of the war. The Prophet himself tried to prevent people from being killed in these wars. While in the twentieth century millions of people have been killed by wars,” he added.

“The language of the Quran is the language of reason and Fitrah,” the representative of the Assembly of Leadership Experts added, “This language is not limited to the past, present and future, because the addressee of the Quran is human Fitrah and intellect. For the growth of human rationality, the Quran emphasizes reason and places reason at the highest position, so that there are about 300 verses in the Quran about thinking and reasoning.”

“The Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) had two types of miracles: verbal and practical. The Holy Quran is his verbal miracle. The practical miracles of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) have been about six thousand cases,” stated Ayatollah Ramazani.

“The character and morals of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) were influential and played a key role in promoting Islam. The morality of the Prophet changed many of the enemies who had persecuted him. Bilal Habashi shed tears when heard the words of the Prophet. To convert to Islam, he did not ask the Prophet for a miracle. Maytham al-Tammar did not want a miracle either. Jafar ibn Abi Talib shed tears when he recited the verses of Surah Maryam to the king of Abyssinia. These verses are effective and in harmony with the soul,” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“We are very far from the creation of the Prophet Muhammad’s (p.b.u.h) conduct. We need to know his path, which is the way of salvation. Lady Fatimah Zahra (a.s.) said about his holy father, Prophet (p.b.u.h), “His morality is the Quran.” It is narrated in other hadiths that the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) never felt comfortable, and was always concerned about society and human guidance, and felt the suffering of the people,” continued the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“The Quran introduces the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) as a role model. Today’s human society needs to follow the example of the Prophet,” he emphasized.

“We must measure our actions by the traditions of the Prophet (p.b.u.h). In the book “Sunan al-Nabi” by Allameh Tabatabai, 800 hadiths have been quoted. He has tried to express the traditions of the Prophet in various matters,” emphasized Ayatollah Ramazani, saying that our understanding of religion is not according to the understanding of the Prophet, but according to our personal desire.

“We must introduce the character of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) in the society and internationally with our behavior, and this is the most effective type of propagation,” added the Representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Experts, referring to the actions of the enemies to make the face of the Prophet of Islam look violent.
