Islamic scholars play significant role in awakening of Islamic Ummah: Navvab
In a meeting with Allamah Khalili, Grand Mufti of Oman, Sayed Abolhasan Navvab, President of the University of Religions and Denominations said, “Islamic scholars play a significant role in the awakening of Islamic Ummah. All of us should try to realize the modern Islamic civilization by strengthening faith, believing in God, and unity.”
ABWA Official Website – In his visit to Oman, Hojat al-Islam Sayed Abolhasan Navvab, President of the University of Religions and Denominations, met with Allamah Khalili, the Grand Mufti of the country.
In this meeting, referring to recent events in the Islamic world, Hojat al-Islam Sayed Abolhasan Navvab said, “The enemies of Islam have always tried to create discord among the Islamic Ummah by raising trivial issues, to pave the way for their domination.”
While praising Allameh Khalili for his intelligent stances, Navvab added, “Islamic scholars play a significant role in the awakening of Islamic Ummah. All of us should try to realize the modern Islamic civilization by strengthening faith, believing in God, and unity.”
Further in the meeting, Allameh Khalili, Grand Mufti of Oman, said, “We are all responsible for helping the oppressed of the world. In the Holy Quran, Almighty God has considered the duty of every human being to defend and support the oppressed, and it is the duty of all of us to help the oppressed of the world.”
Referring to the Quranic verse “يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تَنْصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنْصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ” (O you who have faith! If you help Allah, He will help you and make your feet steady) (Holy Quran, Surah: Muhammad, Verse: 7), the Grand Mufti of Oman added, “The Islamic world is going through a difficult time today. But with faith in God, unity, integrity, and resistance will overcome all these hardships, and the glory of Islam will resonate in the world.”
It is worth mentioning that in this meeting, which was also attended by a group of Omani scholars, the two parties reviewed the recent events of the Islamic world and discussed the solutions for Islamic unity.
