The Iraqi members of the General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly gathered in Baghdad and discussed the latest developments regarding the followers of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school.

On Monday, March 13, 2023, with the presence of members of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly who are in Iraq for their periodic session, the session of the Iraqi members of the General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, hosted by Hojat al-Islam Sayed Ammar Al-Hakim, was held in Baghdad.

This session was attended by figures such as Adel Abdul Mahdi, Nouri Al-Maliki, Hadi Al-Ameri, Sheikh Saeed No’mani, Dr. Hussain Shahrestani, Sayed Hamid Hosseini, and many other prominent and active Iraqi Shiite figures.

In this meeting, the special role of Iraq in the affairs of the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.) was emphasized for the following reasons: the existence of holy shrines of the Immaculate Imams (a.s.), a significant number of Shiite citizens in this country, Najaf seminary and Marjaiat, the annual presence of tens of millions of pilgrims from different parts of the world, a decisive role in the country’s political structure, the presence of Iraqi people in many countries of the world, and the elite capacity of Iraqis in defending the ideological borders of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school. /345/
