The most important task of true mystics, knowing enemies of humanity, human dignity: Ayatollah Ramazani
Stating that the most important task of true mystics is to recognize the enemies of humanity and human dignity, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “According to Imam Khomeini, a mystic is a person whose heart is full of God’s love while living among people and makes them love God.”
A group of Sunni scholars of the Imamiyyah Sufi of India, who were visiting Iran, met with Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, on Sunday, January 30, 2022.
Speaking at the meeting, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “If a person truly has divine love, it encompasses his whole being, and he does not think of anyone other than God.”
“If man wants to reach this true love, he must use the tools and means that God has introduced, which are the divine Friends of God (Olia or Saints). Saints can play an important role in connecting us to divine love,” he added.
Stating that if love is real, man will reach the love of Allah, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “In the Ziyarat Jami’ah Kabirah, Imam Hadi (a.s.) says, ‘مَنْ اَحَبَّکُمْ فَقَدْاَحَبَّ اللَّهَ وَمَنْ اَبْغَضَکُمْ فَقَدْ اَبْغَضَ اللَّهَ وَمَنِ اعْتَصَمَ بِکُمْ’ (Whoever obeys you is certainly obedient to Allah, and whoever disobeys you will surely be disobedient to Allah.) Also, Lady Fatima (a.s.) says, ‘إنَّ السَّعیدَ کُلَّ السَّعیدِ، حَقَّ السَّعیدِ مَنْ احَبَّ عَلیّا’ (Indeed, the truth and reality of all felicity and salvation is in the friendship of Imam Ali (a.s.).)”
“If this love spreads all over the world, we will feel and see heaven in this world. It is important that those who have love in their hearts and souls, teach it to others, and this is the important task of mystics. Love must truely be accompanied by obedience,” Ayatollah Ramazani said.
In another part of his speech, referring to the character of Mulla Sadra, mystic, sage and founder of the philosophical school of transcendent wisdom, he added, “Whenever Mulla Sada encountered a scientific problem or a vague matter, he would go to the holy shrine of Lady Masoumeh (a.s.), and by appealing to that lady, his problem would be solved.”
“Mulla Sadra believed that a mystic had to go through four stages to perfect his mysticism. He has based his book entitled “Transcendent Wisdom” on four journeys on this basis. The four journeys, according to the works and teachings of mystics, are practical steps to reach God. The first journey: the journey from creation to truth; The second journey: the journey with truth in truth; Third Journey: Journey from Truth to Creation by Truth, Fourth Journey: Journey in Creation with Truth,” added the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.
“When man reaches this stage, he does not fear anyone other than God. Imam Khomeini, with such might, said that the United States could not make any mistake. His student, Imam Khamenei, has reached the same stage and said: The enemies of humanity and human dignity, cannot make any mistake,” Ayatollah Ramazani said.
“The most important task of true mystics is to know the enemies of humanity and human dignity,” he emphasized.
While commemorating the memory of Imam Khomeini, Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “Imam Khomeini acquainted the world today and the young generation with the Ma’arefat and mysticism. According to him, a mystic means a person whose heart is full of God’s love, while living among people and makes them love Allah. On the 8-year war (imposed by Iraq against Iran), young people were devoted to this school, such as Haj Qassem Soleimani, who eventually rushed to meet God and was martyred in the path of truth.”
