Society needs AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings more than ever: Ayatollah Ramazani

The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Today, society needs the knowledge and words of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) more than ever. We need to introduce the Quran to the world so that they can learn how to live better.”

During his visit to Lebanon, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, met with Allameh Sheikh Abdul Hussein Sadeq, the Friday Imam of Nabatieh.

In this meeting, while being pleased with the visit of Ayatollah Ramazani and the accompanying delegation from Nabatieh, Allameh Sheikh Abdul Hussein Sadeq said, “The morality of the followers of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school has always attracted other religions and denominations. The Islamic Republic of Iran is the flagship of the original culture of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) in the world and introduces this culture to the whole world in the best way. May God protect the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, Imam Khamenei.”

“Due to the love for Imam Hussain (a.s.) and holding the ceremonies for AhlulBayt (a.s.), the city of Nabatieh is known as the second Karbala. In this city, cultural and occasional ceremonies are always held regularly, with the participation of the youth and the people of the city,” he continued.

Following this meeting, expressing his satisfaction with the visit of the Friday prayer leader of Nabatieh, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “Today, society needs the knowledge and words of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) more than ever. We need to introduce the Quran to the world so that they can learn how to live better.”

“In my experience in the West, Western society suffers from an identity crisis. In addition to the abundant sciences of the AhlulBayt (a.s.), the Ulama should be adorned with the moral virtues of the AhlulBayt (a.s.), which I found you among these Ulama. When the Ulama are adorned with moral virtues, they are commissioned to guide others. Good morals are a prelude to guiding others,” he said, addressing Allameh Sheikh Abdul Hussein Sadeq.

“In the Quran, God says, “We have made you a middle nation.” This verse refers to the need to adhere to moderation in our practice. Also, “you” in the phrase “We have made you a middle nation”, refers to a specific group, not the general public. Just as the Prophet is the mediator between God and the people, after the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) there are mediators between the future people and the Prophet (p.b.u.h). Those mediators are the infallible Imams (a.s.) and the Ulama. The word “لِتَكونوا شُهَداءَ عَلَى النّاسِ” means “to be a role model for people.” The phrase “وَيَكونَ الرَّسولُ عَلَيكُم شَهيدًا” emphasizes, “The Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) is a role model and observer for you”,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Not every Alem can manifest the verse “وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا لِتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيدًا” (Thus, have We made of you an Ummat justly balanced, that ye might be witnesses over the nations, and the Messenger a witness over yourselves) (Quran, Surah: Al-Baqara, Verse: 143). But when I saw you, I can express the fact that you could have this blessed position with your good morals. This knowledge is not just the result of teaching and learning, but it is the light that God places in the human heart. The hadith “The Ulama are the inheritance of the prophets” indicates that this knowledge is hereditary and not learnable,” Ayatollah Ramazani said, addressing the Friday prayer leader of Nabatieh.

At the end of the meeting, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly invited Allameh Sheikh Abdul Hussain Sadeq, the Friday Imam of Nabatieh, to visit Iran, and while going on pilgrimage of the holy shrines of the country, meet with the Ulama of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
