The Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “The faith of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his companions was unconditional, with a holy path and purpose. Imam Hussain (a.s.) made Islam everlasting. It is read in the Ziyarat Arbaeen that Imam Hussain (a.s.) sacrificed his life so that people would not be confused and misguided and would not live in misguidance.”

ABWA Official Website – On Wednesday, June 8, 2023, during a speech in the Muharram mourning ceremony on the Maqsura porch of the Goharshad Mosque in the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.), Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “In the Holy Quran, appeal to AhlulBayt (a.s.) is emphasized. We should pay attention to the Infallible Imams (a.s.) in all our affairs. Because they are role models for our minds, thoughts, morals, manners, and the path of our lives.”

Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “For us Muslims and Shiites, what happened in Karbala is a tragic incident, and the reasons that led to this incident must be studied. It should be investigated what happened that after 50 years of the demise of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), the head of his grandson was speared.”

Further, while referring to faith in the style of the Ashura movement, he stated, “We must first know the religion (Islam), then believe it. Because faith comes after knowing religion and believing in it.”

“We must believe religious teachings and have faith in them with all our being, intellect, and mind. Religion (Islam) leads man to felicity. The Holy Quran considers the path to felicity in answering the call of God and His Messenger,” Ayatollah Ramazani said.

“All divine prophets came to show mankind the path and destination,” Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly noted, “Religion (Islam) gives people knowledge, awareness, responsibility, commitment, and freedom; of course, the kind of freedom that is appropriate to the status and dignity of man.”

“Man should accept only one servitude, that is the service of God. In God’s service, there is honor, knowledge, love, and evolution,” he said.

“Religion is a matter of Fitrah (the human-divine nature). God, who introduces divine prophets to mankind, is not an imposition, but pleasant. He is the one that man can communicate with at all times,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated.

“Ashura-style faith is unconditional. That is, it is not the case that I will practice the religious orders if it only benefits me,” he said.

The Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “The faith of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his companions was unconditional, with a holy path and purpose. Companions of Imam Hussain (AS) also proved their loyalty in the path of faith in the Ashura style.”

“Religion should not be on the sidelines of life but should be in the context of life, and show itself in all scenes,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “Religious faith should be seen in conduct, thinking, ethics, politeness, and all aspects of life.”

“Religious faith without Salah, fasting, Khums, Zakat, Jihad, Tawalla, and Tabarra, is just a nominal religion. Religion should not become just a means for governance, like Yazid, a drunkard who played with monkeys, and considered himself the caliph of Muslims, and made religion just a tool for his government,” said the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“When Imam Hussein (a.s.) saw that Islam, the Quran, the Prophet, and the sacred things were being destroyed (by Yazid), sacrificed his life for the religion and entered the field,” he stated.

“Imam Hussain (a.s.) made Islam everlasting. It is read in the Ziyarat Arbaeen that Imam Hussain (a.s.) sacrificed his life so that people would not be confused and misguided and would not live in misguidance,” Ayatollah Ramazani noted.

At the end of his speech, while referring to the works of reciting Ziyarat Ashura, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Reciting this Ziyarat increases one's relationship with God, one finds monotheistic thought, and performs godly deeds.”
