In a message, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, expressed his condolences for the irreparable loss of Grand Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Saeed Hakim, one of the world’s Shiite sources of emulation.

The message is as follows:

In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The demise of the Faqih and great Marja, Grand Ayatollah Haj Sayed Mohammad Saeed Hakim caused grief and regret.

The eminent Alem, who came from a family of jurisprudence, jihad, and martyrdom, spent his entire honorable life studying knowledge and then promoting the rules and propagating the teachings of the Quran and Etrat (AhlulBayt).

Enduring the difficult years in Ba’athist regime prisons, establishing religious and service centers, training clerics, writing numerous books, and the efforts of the sincere Alem for the welfare of millions of pilgrims to the Arbaeen ceremony of Imam Hussain (a.s.), will be valuable righteous remnants and good Hereafter luggage for his pure soul.

I offer my condolences for this irreparable loss to Imam Mahdi (a.s.) and also to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, Grand Sources of Emulation and Ulama, especially grand Ayatollah Sistani, Islamic ceremonies of Najaf and Qom, honorable people of Iraq, his Muqalledin, the students and disciples of that Great Marja, and also to the honorable house of Hakim, especially his honorable brothers and children.

I ask from God the Almighty for the exaltation, reunion with God’s saints and his pure ancestors (a.s.), for the deceased, and for all of his family members and relatives, I ask for patience.

“Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him do we indeed return” (Holy Quran 2:156)

Reza Ramazani
