Hazrat Khadija (a.s.) worshiped God monotheistically: Ayatollah Javadi Amoli

On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, the anniversary of Hazrat Khadija’s demise, the “International Conference Umm Al-Momenin Khadija Kobra (a.s.), First Lady of Islam” was held virtually with the speech of the thinkers of the Islamic world and with the message of the Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli.

“Before the Be’that of the Prophet Muhammad, Hazrat Khadija (a.s.) worshiped God monotheistically and believed in General Prophethood, and Abrahamic prophets. She was a scholar, ascetic, researcher, and monotheist,” said Ayatollah Javadi Amoli about the position of Hazrat Khadija (a.s.), in a message to the general session of the conference.

“There are differences between the brokers of knowledge and the theologian, commentator, and jurist. In the era of knowledge brokerage, Hazrat Khadija was a scholar, and worshiped God monotheistically before the Be’that of the Prophet Muhammad,” he said, emphasizing that Hazrat Khadija (a.s.) had learned from the Abrahamic prophets, according to the Arbaeen Website.

“Shouldn’t we introduce the character of Hazrat Khadija (a.s.)? Shouldn’t we follow our mother’s path? Isn’t it time for us, like Umm Al-Momenin, to put aside usury?” said Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, emphasizing that we are the children of Hazrat Khadija (a.s.).

“Jahiliyyah (ignorance. The age of ignorance is an Islamic concept referring to the period of time and state of affairs in Arabia before the advent of Islam) had a culture of imitation and brokerage. But in this atmosphere, Hazrat Khadija (a.s.) was a monotheist and learned lady. We are proud to have such a mother Twelve Infallibles are her descendants,” said the source of emulation, stating that the Kafer (infidel) has no argument.

“In the age of ignorance, when usury was the official covenant, Hazrat Khadija (a.s.) rejected it. While she could reign with usury. She boycotted usury and changed the economy. In turn, our duty is to transform the culture of Jahiliyyah (ignorance) into a culture of rationality, to boycott the centers of virtual and real corruption, and to change the usurious economy to the Islamic economy. We have to go the path of our mother. Pilgrimage alone is not enough, and we must follow her,” Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli stated.

“In Islam, no perfection is conditional on gender. The mission is supported by the province, and the province that supports the mission is not conditional on gender. Imams’ knowledge is unlimited because they are connected to God, that is, an unlimited source, while they are limited. This is not error-prone. In such an atmosphere, Hazrat Khadija (a.s.) has walked this path. Perfection is jurisprudence, not emulation,” he continued.

“Why don’t we follow such a lady? We have an identity and Hazrat Khadija (a.s.) is our mother. Why don’t we follow in our mother’s footsteps? Why are we drowning in corruption and usury? Hazrat Khadija (a.s.) is the mother of the believers in terms of culture, jurisprudence, chastity, social and economic,” Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli stated.
