Hojat al-Islam Mahmoud Rajabi, president of the Imam Khomeini Education and Research Institute, as a speaker at the meeting, stated, “The demise of a scholar is an irreparable loss., and according to the Prophet (p.b.u.h), it is an irreparable tragedy, and an uncoverable breach.”

“In terms of moral virtues, the Alem (Islamic scholar) is a blessing for the Islamic society. It is thanks to the Alem and his virtues that God bestows His mercy and blessings upon the people of a society,” added Hojat al-Islam Mahmoud Rajabi.

“The Alem leaves works that by studying them, people know and walk the right path to the felicity. Ulama (Islamic scholars) also train students who contribute to the felicity of society. Therefore, the demise of an Alem is an irreparable loss,” he said.

“Those who came to him were greeted beautifully. He answered questions calmly and expressed his precise opinions,” stated Hojat al-Islam Mahmoud Rajabi, president of the Imam Khomeini Education and Research Institute, saying that the late Professor Pishvaee was a pious, moral, patient, and kind person.

“He was a moral figure and his existence was a blessing for the society. He also left valuable works that are influential nationally and internationally,” he added.

“The late Pishvaee trained students, each of whom is virtuous and a researcher, and are unique in their field of study. They are also successful in defending the culture of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) and the lifestyle of the Islamic leaders,” Mr. Rajabi said.

“This great scholar left four lasting works on the history of Islam and Shia. “Sire-ye Pishvayan” (The Life of Leaders) which is the biography and lifestyle of the AhlulBayt (a.s.); “History of Islam”, which is about the life of the Holy Prophet of Islam (p.b.u.h); “History of the Caliphs” in which the history and life of Imam Ali (a.s.) are prominent and distinguished; and “Maqtal Jame-e Sayed al-Shohada” (The comprehensive description of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein) which was researched and written by Ashura researchers under the supervision of this great figure,” stated the prominent professor of the seminary, referring to the valuable works of the late Pishvaee.

“In terms of documentation, these works are accurate and honesty is emphasized in its quotations and references. The content mentioned in these works is also provided with valid and accurate documents. All of these works contain sensible analyzes and are far from intellectual scattering,” Mr. Rajabi stated, saying that these four valuable works have outstanding features.

“His works were welcomed by academics and seminarians and were introduced as a textbook in both the seminary and the university. These works were written in a way that has been welcomed internationally, and have been translated and published in various languages,” he added.

“In the histories he mentions, Shiite theological beliefs have been considered. His view on history was not secular, rather, he has explored history with definite Shiite beliefs and has written history in accordance with those beliefs, that is a very important issue,” said the President of Imam Khomeini Educational and Research Institute.

“The works of this great historian have been written according to the doubts and questions of the day. He asked and answered questions on Radio Maaref (a Persian radio dedicated to Islamic teachings) and, according to the suspicions and doubts, he wrote and presented his valuable works,” Professor Rajabi continued.

“He was a contented person and had good, competent, and strong management. He was a popular figure among scholars and the academic council, and during these years, no flaws in his management were observed,” he continued.
