Sharia coming of age celebration of female students in Kabul

The Sharia coming-of-age celebration of female students was held in Kabul by the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly of Afghanistan and participation of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

ABWA Official Website – On the auspicious birth anniversary of Lady Masoumeh (a.s.) and Girls’ Day, the Sharia coming-of-age celebration of female students was held in Kabul by the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly of Afghanistan and participation of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

The ceremony was hosted by Khatam al-Nabiyin (p.b.u.h) High School and was attended by a group of students, teachers, and officials of some schools in the city of Kabul on Sunday, May 21, 2023. In the ceremony, 150 female students from different schools in the city participated along with their parents and teachers and announced their readiness to serve and worship God according to the Sharia orders.

The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Quran. At the beginning of the ceremony, Mr. Sayed Naeem Samim, the director of Khatam al-Nabiyin (p.b.u.h) High School, welcomed the participants while expressing his gratitude to the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly for organizing and supporting this great celebration and congratulated the birth anniversary of Lady Masoumeh (a.s.).

Then Mrs. Kazemi, the director of Khadija Al-Kabari Seminary and an expert in religious affairs, and Mrs. Faeqa Javid, adviser of the Department for Women Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly gave speeches.

Further in the ceremony, while offering congratulations on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lady Masoumeh (a.s.), the beginning of Ten Days of Dignity, and Girls’ Day, Hojat al-Islam Muzaffar, the Friday Prayer Leader of the south of Kabul, as the main speaker of the ceremony, stated, “Having a daughter is a blessing and mercy that God gives to parents. By giving daughters to families, God Almighty gives them great blessings.”

By narrating a part of the life of Lady Masoumeh (a.s.), Hojat al-Islam Muzaffar introduced her as one of the best role models for girls in serving God.

In this ceremony, hymn groups from two schools in Kabul performed, and in another part, students were taught how to prepare for prayer and ablution.

At the end of this ceremony, gifts were given to the participants of the competition, as well as to the girls whose name was Masoumeh.

It is worth mentioning that during the “Ten Days of Dignity”, the celebration of the Sharia coming of age of girls in more than ten foreign countries is organized by the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and the video message of the Secretary General of the Assembly is broadcasted at the beginning of these ceremonies.
