Issuing announcement No. 3, the permanent secretariat of the festival announced, “In response to some artists, and due to the recent events in Palestine, hereby the deadline for submitting works in the Third International Quds Day Cartoon Festival will be extended for one month.
Therefore, with this one-month extension of the deadline, the world’s interested artists can submit their cartoons until July 22, 2022.
It is worth mentioning that the topics of the competition are:
1. The betrayal of some Arab leaders in the normalization of relations with Israel
2. Misery of the Nakba Day (The day of the establishment of the Israeli regime and the displacement of the Palestinian people)
3. Shireen Abu Akleh, the daughter of Palestine
The International Quds Day Cartoon Festival is held quadrennially by ABNA News Agency, by the cooperation of the following organizations: Committee for the Support of the Islamic Revolution of the Palestinian People (under the auspices of the Presidential Institution of the Islamic Republic of Iran), Art Department of the Islamic Development Organization, Martyr Fazel Center for Strategic Studies (Iraq), Alwafa Islamic Party (Bahrain), ABNA Al-Rasul (p.b.u.h) Cultural-Artistic Institute, Iranian House of Cartoon, Palestine Museum of Contemporary Art, and Comprehensive Website of Islamic Art.
