Wilayat of Imam Ali (a.s.), divine fortified fortress: Head of AhlulBayt (a.s.) Ulama Organization of Iğdır
The Head of AhlulBayt (a.s.) Ulama Organization of Iğdır, Turkey, stated, “According to a hadith, God says: “The Wilayat of Imam Ali (a.s.) is My fortified fortress, and whoever enters this fortress will be safe from punishment”.”
ABWA Official Website – In an exclusive interview with ABNA International News Agency on the occasion of the auspicious Eid Ghadir Khumm, Sheikh Zaki the Head of AhlulBayt (a.s.) Ulama Organization of Iğdır, Turkey, explained the importance of this great Eid.
In this interview, referring to the guidance of mankind by God, he stated, “From the first moments of the creation of the first human, God Almighty guided His “chosen creation” in various ways. For God, one of the most important issues has been human growth and guidance. For this purpose, God has sent prophets, Infallible Imams (a.s.), and divine saints on the path of humanity. According to a hadith, if God removes His Hujjah (proof) from the earth, the earth and its people will be destroyed. The issue of guiding and managing human society is of great importance. Without the connection to revelation, guidance, and managing human society is impossible for any human being or school of thought. Throughout history, we see different people and schools who, without being connected to revelation, claimed to guide, and manage society, committed many crimes.”
“Almighty God has given good tidings to the believers that one day all the tyrants will be destroyed, and the believers will inherit the earth,” Sheikh Zaki continued, “At that time, man will feel true felicity in every sense. Wilayat is the most central issue in guidance. After twenty-three years of the Prophet’s (p.b.u.h) mission, God Almighty declared this important issue to the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), and at that time Wilayat and its importance were explained by God Almighty. The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) had many statements regarding the issue of Wilayat and his succession, that have been narrated in many hadiths. In order to understand these statements, examples have been given even from the prophets of the past. For example, according to the Hadith of the Manzilah (position), the position of Imam Ali (a.s.) in relation to the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) is the same as the position of Harun in relation to Prophet Moses (a.s.).”
Head of AhlulBayt (a.s.) Ulama Organization of Iğdır, Turkey, added, “During the prophethood of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), Imam Ali (p.b.u.h) showed a lot of bravery, all of which shine like a gem in the sky of history. One of these acts of courage was in Laylat al-mabit (the overnight stay) when Imam Ali (a.s.) risked his life and slept in the Prophet’s (p.b.u.h) bed that night instead of him. This event has been recorded as one of the greatest acts of courage of Imam Ali (a.s.).”
Regarding the position of Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) in hadiths, he said, “According to a Hadith Qudsi, hadiths consist of 3,000 words, 1,000 words of which are specific to the Ummah and must be communicated to them. About 1,000 words, the Infallible Imams (a.s.) are free to communicate or not to people. But there are a thousand words special for the Infallible Imams (a.s.) and the human mind is incapable of understanding them. According to a hadith, God says: “The Wilayat of Imam Ali (a.s.) is My fortified fortress, and whoever enters this fortress will be safe from punishment”.”
