AhlulBayt News Agency - (ABNA)

The followers of the Ahlulbayt (a.s.) - like their oppressed leaders - have always been oppressed throughout history. Apart from the dark period of the Umayyads, the Abbasids and the Middle Ages, this oppression still exists and continues in the modern era.

One of the reasons for this oppression, which even encourages it, is the " Shiites are unaware of each other" and the "lack of knowledge of the international community about these oppressions"; Because usually the mass media and the means of mass communication are in the hands of the rulers and powers that are on the front line against pure Islam. The directors of the Ahlulbayt (a.s.) World Assembly during the term of the current Secretary General, with a correct understanding of these conditions and to fill this gap, established a trilingual news site in 2004. After the above-mentioned site found its place in news circles and was welcomed by the Shiites of Iran and the world, it was felt that it should continue its activities as a news agency.

Therefore, the new period from August 2007 started and the mentioned news site was renamed as the official AhlulBayt News Agency - (ABNA) and the domain www.abna24.com.

This site, by the grace of God and the blessings of the Infallibles, with its gradual and logical growth, has now become an active news agency with editorial staff and journalists (inside and outside the country) and has an effective site with several languages and several publications.

Great impact
