In his statement, while pointing out that World Children’s Day is different this year, he stated, “On November 20, children around the world, including children in Malaysia, celebrate Children’s Day. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about issues children face around the world. In our country, teachers usually celebrate this day in school classes and for this celebration, every student brings food prepared by his parents. Unfortunately, this year this day is different from last year. This year, during the past month, more than 4,000 children and 3,000 Palestinian mothers and daughters were martyred in Gaza by the illegal and child-killing regime of Israel.”

“In 1954, Britain encouraged other countries to celebrate Children’s Day to share understanding between children and improve their welfare around the world. At the same time, Britain played the most important role in the establishment of the illegal and child-killing regime of Israel, and until now, along with the United States, it has been the main partner in the crimes of the usurping and illegal Zionist regime in murdering innocent Palestinian women and children,” Zuhairi continued.

“Declaration of the Rights of the Child is an international document promoting child rights. This declaration includes 54 rights for children, including the right to life (Article 6), the right to express the opinion (Article 12), the right to food, clothing, shelter, and basic needs (Article 27), the right to education (Article 28), the right to play and rest (Article 31), and the right to be protected from work that harms them and is not beneficial for their health and education (Article 32). Unfortunately, today, Palestinian children, especially in Gaza, are deprived of these rights,” added the Malaysian member of the General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“The international community should stop the crimes and killings in Palestine by the Zionist regime as soon as possible, and stop the US, UK and others from defending and being complicit in the regime’s crimes, and bring them to the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice,” noted the director of Al-Reza (a.s.) Islamic Seminary in Malaysia.
