Contemplating the Quranic verses causes revolution in man: Ayatollah Ramazani

Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “It is necessary to understand and comprehend the Quran. Sometimes, if a person pays attention to a verse well, it creates a revolution in him. Like the case of Fuzail ibn Ayaz, who was changed by hearing a Quranic verse.”

ABWA Official Website – Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly who visited Malawi at the invitation of Shiites and Muslims of the country, gave a speech at the Khoja Shiite Mosque.

In his speech to the worshipers of this mosque, while referring to the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “The Quran and the AhlulBayt (a.s.), as two trusts in the hands of the Ummah, are never separated from each other. The Quran without the AhlulBayt (a.s.), and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) without the Quran, are incomplete. This is an order that is emphasized in all the books by Shiites and Sunni ulama.”

While stressing the need to understand the verses of the Holy Quran, Ayatollah Ramadani stated, “It is necessary to understand and comprehend the Quran. Sometimes, if a person pays attention to a verse well, it creates a revolution in him. Like the case of Fuzail ibn Ayaz, who was changed by hearing a Quranic verse. Unfortunately, Muslims are distanced from the Quran; they rarely read the Quran; some read it and do not understand, and some read it and understand it but do not act upon it! Quran is for action. This book is not just for farewells, weddings, or funerals. Rather, the Quran is light, and friendship with light makes a person enlightened.”

“To understand the Quran, one must know its language. Here, it is not only the Arabic language but the language of understanding the Quran. The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, “I am the city of knowledge and wisdom, and Ali is the door of this city. Ali is with the Quran and the Quran is with Ali.” He (p.b.u.h) also said, “Ali is with right, and right is with Ali.” Ibn Abi al-Hadid, one of the Sunni ulama, says, “Wherever Ali is, the right is there.” That means Ali is the true sense of right, Ali is the truth of the right. Loving Ali is a righteous deed that nothing can harm,” added the eminent professor of the Qom seminary.

“The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) has three miracles. A verbal miracle which is the Quran, and a practical miracle which consists of six thousand miracles like the “انشقاق القمر” (Splitting of the Moon) which was narrated to the Prophet in history. According to the ulama, the educational miracle of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) is Imam Ali (a.s.). Therefore, we should thank God for introducing Ali and his family to us and placing their love in our hearts. According to the Quran, the Quran, Ali and Ali’s family are the trusts, and one should preserve them and avoid upsetting and suffering them so that one can benefit from their good prayers,” Ayatollah Ramazani said.

“Wali-e Faqih is the vicegerent of Imam Mahdi (a.s.), and he can follow the objectives of the Imam of the time. By our way of conduct with Wali-e Faqih, we are tested by God. If we obey the Wali-e Faqih, we will surely obey Imam Mahdi (a.s.). Imam Khamenei is a great blessing that God has given us. Whenever we go to his presence, we get strength and light, and we become more firm towards the responsibility we have been assigned to. Two days before the trip to Africa, I reached him and told him that I was going on a trip to Africa, asking for his praying. He prayed two or three times for my success,” said the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly at the end of his speech.
