Five new languages of WikiShia encyclopedia unveiled

In the 7th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the activity of WikiShia virtual encyclopedia started in 5 new languages.

At the opening ceremony of the 7th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World, 5 new languages of the virtual encyclopedia for the teachings of AhlulBayt (a.s.), WikiShia were unveiled.

These languages, namely Chinese, Hindi, Swahili, Tajik, and Bengali, were unveiled on Thursday, September 1, 2022, in the presence of Hojat al-Islam Dr. Sayed Ebrahim Raisi and the elites of the Shiite world.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Ayatollah Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasized the importance of publishing Islamic knowledge in other languages.

WikiShia also has a booth at the exhibition held on the sidelines of the 7th General Assembly, located on the second floor of the Iran International Conference Center. For more information those interested can visit the exhibition.

It worth mentioning that the virtual encyclopedia of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, WikiShia, affiliated with the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, has so far included 7,029 articles in Persian and more than 17,000 articles in 9 other languages. With today’s unveiling, the number of active WikiShia languages reached to 15 languages.

Ahl Al-Bayt World Assembly

The Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly  is an international non-governmental organization (INGO) that was established by a group of Shiite elites under the supervision of the great Islamic authority of the Shiites in 1990 to identify, organize, educate and support the followers of Ahl al-Bayt.
