During his visit to Iraq, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly visited the “Nour Al-Basaer” Institute in Najaf and was briefed on its activities.

On Monday, May 31, 2021, during his visit to Iraq, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and his accompanying delegation, after meeting with Ayatollah Sayed Mojtaba Hosseini, Representative of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution in Iraq, visit the “Nour Al-Basaer” Institute in Najaf.


During the visit, which was attended by Hujat al-Islam Ahmad Ahmadi Tabar, Deputy manager of Cultural Affairs, Abdul Reza Rashed, Deputy manager in Executive affairs of the Assembly, and Hojat al-Islam Pahlavanzadeh Behbahani, President of the AhlulBayt Assembly of Iraq; the director of the institute presented a report on its activities.


Referring to the advantages, facilities, and shortcomings in the seminary of Najaf Ashraf, Hojat al-Islam Dr. Mohammad Ali Mohsenzadeh, pointed out the scientific, research, and educational activities of “Nour Al-Basaer” Institute.


“In cooperation with the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the Office of the Supreme Leader, and the “Nour Al-Basaer” Institute, we organized a course called “Al-Khetab Al-Resali” in which more than 900 people participated, and 400 of them participated in the final exam. We issued licenses for the chosen participants,” he said, referring to the holding of scientific courses at the “Nour Al-Basaer” Institute.


“We also held a three-day study course on “The Supreme Leader of the Revolution’s Opinions on the Role of Women in Islamic Civilization” for Iraqi female students,” Mohsenzadeh continued.


Referring to the new educational methods in “Nour Al-Basaer” Institute, he mentioned the connection with the professors of Qom seminary as other activities of this institution and called for cooperation between the “Nour Al-Basaer” Institute and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the fields of teacher exchange, textbooks, and making networks for propagation in virtual and real fields.

During this visit, the Secretary-General of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) World Assembly in a short speech evaluated the activities of the “Nour Al-Basaer” Institute in Najaf as very important and appreciated its activities.


“It is necessary to form a department in this institute to do in-depth scientific and research work on the required and priority topics,” said Ayatollah Ramazani, emphasizing the need to meet the needs of today’s world.


“Entering the topics of the modern theology is a good step that has been taken in this institution. But in this area, it is necessary to consider research priorities and the logical order of the topics,” he continued.


In this visit, emphasizing the need for identification and communication with Shiites by the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the world, the Deputy Manager of Cultural Affairs of the Assembly said, “The Assembly will start its educational activities in the future.”


“Iraqi clergies living in Iran will also be included in our training courses so that they can have a positive impact on their society after finishing their studies and returning to Iraq,” continued Hojat al-Islam Ahmad Ahmadi Tabar, announcing that the training course of the Assembly will be in both face-to-face and virtual forms.


He also stressed the necessity to work with Iraq’s elite, and revolutionary and religious generation.
