Shia-phobia promoted by Takfiris in Australia: Al-Salami

An Iraqi missionary from Australia stated, “About Islam, most of what is said in the Australian media is Islamophobia.”

At the closing ceremony of the 7th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Zaid Al-Salami, an Iraqi missionary from Australia, stated, “Using schools and mosques, Australian Shiites have managed to form a small community. About Islam, most of what is said in the Australian media is Islamophobia.”

“Unfortunately, the Muslim community of Australian is mostly reactive. While issues should be dealt with an open mind. Therefore, we must introduce Islam in a way that the audience can communicate with it,” he added.

“In Australia, on one hand, we are facing Shia-phobia promoted by Takfiris, and on the other hand, some deviant beliefs have been seen among the Shiite communities in there. We need to know new ideas, increase our communication with the audience and learn from each other,” he said in the end.
