Ayatollah Noori Hamadani emphasized, “Arbaeen is one of the important and historical events that show the greatness of AhlulBayt (a.s.) culture, and this movement is considered as a ritual of Allah.”

In a message, considering the Arbaeen Walk as the observance of divine rituals, Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamdani, a Shiite Marja, appreciated the Arbaeen Headquarters, the Ministry of Interior and all public institutions that worked in this direction.

The message is as follows:

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Praise be upon Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and peace be upon our master and prophet Abu al-Qassem Muhammad al-Mustafa and his infallible and immaculate family, including Imam Mahdi (aj).

Peace be upon you O Aba Abdillah and the souls who sacrificed themselves for you. My peace be upon you until I exist and until the night and day exist. May Allah does not make this as my last time of your pilgrimage. Peace be upon you O Hussain, and upon Ali bin Hussain, and be upon the children of Hussain, and upon the companions of Hussain.

Arbaeen is one of the important and historical events that show the greatness of AhlulBayt (a.s.) culture, and this movement is considered as one of the Rituals of Allah (Do not violate Allah’s sacraments, Quran, 5:2). These pilgrims, who are able to participate in the Arbaeen ceremony and Walk, and find the success of pilgrimage, their most outstanding deed is to observe the rituals of Allah. This day commemorates the event of Ashura, and it is considered as keeping alive the great movement of Sayed Al-Ashuhada (the lord of the martyrs), Imam Hussain (a.s.). Arbaeen marks the anti-oppression and justice-seeking movement. Arbaeen is a manifestation of love and affection and a sign of a movement and an intellectual jihad.

Therefore, some people are trying to undermine this great movement. Pilgrimage to Imam Hussain (a.s.) on foot is one of the most important acts of worship, which has a special reward and value: “Whoever approach the tomb of Hussain (a.s.) on foot, Allah will write one thousand rewards and omits one thousand sins for him for every step he takes and elevates his position one thousand levels.” (Kamel Azziyarat, Chapter 49, Hadith 4)

These days, after three years of Covid-19 Pandemic, the enthusiasts of Sayed Al-Ashuhada (a.s.) massively participate in Arbaeen pilgrimage, and despite the hot weather and sometimes lack of sufficient facilities, have fervently perform and will perform this pilgrimage. While I was eager to have success to be among the pilgrims, but I could not participate in this pilgrimage. Nevertheless, according to my duty, in addition to praying for the pilgrims, I would like to express my gratitude to all those who served the pilgrims in these days, particularly people who live in border areas, as well as dear and hospitable people of Iraq who mobilized all of their facilities, and also the officials who diligently worked including the Arbaeen Headquarter, Ministry of Interior Affairs, and all public institutions. I ask God for success for all of them.
