Ayatollah Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, Secretary General of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, and Hojat al-Islam Rajah Nasser Abbas Jafri, Secretary General of the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (Muslim Unity Assembly), were the special guests and speakers of the conference.

The “Endurance, Resistance, and Awakening” conference began after reciting verses from the Quran and continued with the recitation of the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

Arbaeen, the continuation of the Resistance Discourse

After welcoming the international guests of the conference, Ayatollah Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Arbaeen is a human and spiritual phenomenon, which can pave the way for the modern Islamic civilization for Muslims and all mankind.”

Emphasizing the importance of the role of religious scholars in preventing the distortion of the Ashura event, he said, “Arbaeen is the authentic narrating of great victory and conquest. If it were not for Karbala, nothing would remain of Islam. The religion of Islam came into being with Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) and survived with Imam Hussain (a.s.).”

“Society’s ignorance causes the value to become disvalue,” Ayatollah Ramazani added, “Ignorance takes the real motivation of life from man. In this regard, Imam Sadiq said: “بَذَلَ مُهجَتَهُ فِیکَ لِیَسْتَنْقِذَ عِبادَکَ مِنَ الجَهالَهِ وَ حِیرَةِ الضَّلالَه” (Imam Hussain (a.s.) sacrificed his life to save society from ignorance, misguidance, and going astray.)”

Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasized, “The Islamic world stands against the Kufr (Disbelief) Front. Today, anyone who narrates about Arbaeen must also talk about the oppression the innocent women and children in Gaza suffer from. Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (a.s.) is a reminder of the Resistance Discourse and is along its path.”

The importance of imitating Imam Hussain’ (a.s.) lifestyle

Then, at the conference, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, Secretary General of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, expressed his condolences on the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and emphasized the importance of imitating the Imam Hussain’ (a.s.) lifestyle. “Today, being with the oppressed people of Gaza is along the path of Imam Hussain (a.s.),” he added.

Then, in the presence of the servants of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.), the blessed flag of the Dome of the Mausoleum of Imam (a.s.) was brought to the session, and the audience welcomed it with the call of “Habibi Ya Hussain (a.s.), Habibi Ya Reza (a.s.).”

Imam Hussain (a.s.), the Lord of the free people of the world

The next speaker of the conference was Hojat al-Islam Rajah Nasir Abbas Jafri, Secretary General of the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (Muslim Unity Assembly), who in his speech explained the current situation of occupied Palestine and emphasized the importance of taking a united position by Muslims. “Imam Hussain (a.s.) is the Lord of the free people of the world,” he said in his speech.

Then, to sympathize with the oppressed people of Gaza, the flags of Palestine were distributed among the participants, and the attendees expressed their disgust with the Zionists’ crimes in Gaza with the slogan “Labbayk Ya Palestine, Labbayk Ya Gaza.”

Dr. Akmal Kamel from Indonesia, Hojat al-Islam Sayed Alireza Rizvi from the UK, Molavi Bahruddin Jozjani from Afghanistan, and Hermit Sink from Pakistan also gave lectures at the international conference “Endurance, Resistance and Awakening.”

On the sidelines of the conference, ABNA News Agency interviewed some of the cultural and media activists participating in the conference about today’s issues of the Islamic world and the need for special media attention to the great event of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (a.s.).

At the end of the conference, and after the elegies for the sufferings of Imam Hussain (a.s.), the participants were blessed by the flag of Imam Reza’s (a.s.) shrine and expressed their devotion to the 8th Imam (a.s.) on the Arbaeen night of Imam Hussain (a.s.).
