Yemen strongest Arab country in deterrent power: Dr. Akbari

Considering the domination on Yemen more important for the United States and the Zionist regime than Saudi Arabia and the UAE, Dr. Akbari said, “Yemen is now the strongest Arab country in the world in terms of deterrent power.”

Coinciding with the intensification of the aggression of the Arab-Western-Hebrew coalition in attacking the oppressed people of Yemen, the International Conference “Investigating the Dimensions of the Aggression against Yemen” was held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, by the Arbaeen International Foundation in cooperation with the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and coordinated institutions.

Speaking at the conference, referring to the Saudi coalition’s goal of attacking Yemen to surrender the Yemeni people within two weeks, Dr. Hussein Akbari, Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Awakening Association, said, “With international support, the formation of a regional coalition, and the use of tools, technology, and military superiority, they envisioned achieving their desired results very soon.”

“So-called accurate and rapid planning for the conquest of Yemen was a factor in the temporary silence of international organizations,” Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Awakening Association stated, “Saudi Arabia considers Yemen as a part of its territories and should continue to play a role according to Saudi policies.”

“Yemen can be very effective in the transit of the world economy. Therefore, the UAE believes that if the Yemeni ports are not in the hands of the UAE, Yemen can practically be an alternative to this country, reduce its role, and take away transit, which is one of the economic advantages of the UAE today. Even before, UAE rented the Yemeni ports to control the transit,” he clarified, describing Yemen’s strategic and sensitive position.

“Yemen has shown that it will win if it wills,” Dr. Akbari said, referring to the history of resistance and the iron will of the Yemeni people against the Ottoman Empire and the Egyptian army.

“The victories of the Resistance Front have been effective in the spirit of the Yemeni people to stand against oppression,” Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Awakening Association said, “With this motivation, the Yemenis withstood all the pressures of Saudi Arabia and its coalition and achieved successive victories. Yemen has so far achieved victories and regional power.”

“By learning from Hezbollah and Palestine, Yemen has acquired capabilities and today can play an effective role by use of drones and ballistic missiles. In terms of deterrent power, Yemen is now the strongest Arab country in the world, and it can neutralize all threats that faces,” he added.

Referring to the different pressures of the UAE and Saudi Arabia against Yemen in different ways, Dr. Akbari said, “With all these pressures, the Yemeni people showed that they will not surrender, and whenever they want, they can attack their targets at a depth of 1,500 kilometers at any moment and force the enemy to surrender.”

“The Zionist regime struggles to save the UAE and has offered them to deliver the Iron Dome air defense and advanced laser systems in the war against Yemen,” Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Awakening Association said, “These solutions will not work, neither for the UAE nor for Saudi Arabia. Yemen is in a dominant position today. Also diplomatically, Yemen has always been ready to negotiate, and at every point they have been at negotiation table, they have kept their promises and refused to violate their commitments.”

“With the independence of the Yemeni people, the interests of the United States and the Zionist regime will be further threatened. The domination system believes that if it loses Bab al-Mandeb and this strait joins the Strait of Hormuz, it can create a serious, fundamental, and strategic problem for them and the western countries. Therefore, they have seriously forced Saudi Arabia and the UAE to defend their (Western) future interests,” he stated, referring to the encouragement of the UAE and Saudi Arabia to the war against Yemen, by the United States and the Zionist regime.

“Yemen challenged all Western technology and weapons. Of course, the weapons sold to the Arab countries are such that they do not pose a problem or challenge for the Zionist regime. Because even though the Arab countries claim to be allies with the Zionist regime, if they get out of control one day, they will be a threat against this regime,” Dr. Akbari said.

“The Yemeni people are resisting, and they are close to victory. In his presidential campaign slogans, Biden claimed that he would find a solution for Yemen and get out of the crisis. But Yemen’s victory in the region could show the extreme weakness of the domination regime and international organizations. These victories have created hope for all the freedom-loving, oppressed and Muslim countries of the world that they can win by relying on God Almighty,” Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Awakening Association said, on the future horizon of the Yemeni people.

“The victory of Yemen can be the start of an awakening in the Islamic world and the world of the oppressed, who can achieve victory by relying on their means,” he clarified.

“Today, the United States and the Zionist regime are somehow declining. Yemen’s victory could be the beginning of reducing the domination of arrogant countries over the Islamic world. We can hope that the Islamic world will unite and restore its Islamic dignity in the path of the realization of the new civilization, and as a power based on the Quranic teachings and divine promises, will be able to play a key role in the future world order,” Dr. Akbari continued.
