Ayatollah Ramazani’s message to the birthday ceremony of Imam Reza (a.s.) in Samarra

Ayatollah Ramazani expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the people of Samarra, the tribes and sadats of this holy city, who hold ceremonies on the birth anniversary of the Immaculate AhlulBayt (a.s.) and the Ashura, help and feed the pilgrims of Imam Hussain (AS) in Arbaeen, and other Islamic occasions.

ABWA Official Website – With the presence of a group of Sunni and Shiite ulama, as well as some officials of the city of Samarra, Iraq, a ceremony on the birth anniversary of Imam Reza (a.s.) was held for the second consecutive year in the city.

The ceremony was held with the participation of Iraqi sheikhs, the Representative of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution in Iraq, the governor of Samarra, the president of Samarra University, representatives of the Holy Shrines in Iraq, a group of military and security commanders, as well as representatives of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Ashura International Foundation, along with different strata of Iraqi people.

After reciting the verses of the Holy Quran, while welcoming the participants of the celebration, the governor of Samarra on the religious, historical, and civilizational status of this holy city stated, “The existence of holy Shrines of two Askari Imams has multiplied the glory of this city. Therefore, enemies and takfiri movements tried to desacralize the city and holy place with their criminal actions.”

Then the representatives of Rabat Muhammadi Ulema Council and Salahuddin Ulema Union delivered speeches on the virtues of AhlulBayt (a.s.), especially Imam Reza (a.s.).

In this ceremony, Ayatollah Sayed Mujtaba Hosseini, the Representative of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution in Iraq, while offering his congratulations on the occasion of the blessed birthday of Imam Reza (a.s.), spoke about the scientific and social position of the Imam, and his valuable role in spreading Islamic knowledge, and his debates with the leaders of other religions and denominations.

At the end of his speech, Ayatollah Hosseini praised and thanked the organizers of the ceremony, especially the Sadat Razavi tribes.

Further in the event, the message of Ayatollah Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, was read in Arabic by Mr. Hassan Khakarand, Advisor to the Secretary-General.
