The closing ceremony of the “International Conference of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.); Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)” was held on Thursday evening, March 11, 2021, at the Imam Khomeini School in Qom.

The prominent mufti of Aleppo, Syria, said, “The reasons for faith are located in the heart of Abu Talib (a.s.). There is direct evidence that shows that he praised the Prophet with his firm words.”

Considering approximation between Islamic denominations as the goal of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani stated, “In the conference of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), you should tell the Sunni brothers that holding this conference is for the proximity of Islamic schools of thought, and this is a great work.”

On the third day of the International Conference “Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), the Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)”, the specialized session of “Abu Talib (a.s.) from the Perspective of International Scholars” was held on Thursday morning, March 11, 2021, in Qom. Due to the conditions of Covid-19, the session was held in the presence of a limited number of scholars, professors and media representatives in the Quds Hall of the Imam Khomeini Higher Education Complex, but was broadcast live on satellite and Internet networks.

A professor at the University of Ez-Zitouna in Tunisia stated, “We Sunnis believe in the faith of Abu Talib (a.s.) and there are arguments to prove this.”

The prominent Yemeni mustabsir said, “Many hadiths have been narrated from the Infallible Imams (a.s.) about Abu Talib (a.s.), and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) emphasized the virtue of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.).”

The chairman of Al-Zoria Al-Nabawiya Research Institute said, “The influence of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) can be easily understood from the verses of the Quran. The generation of the Prophet is the manifestation of the generation of Hazrat Abu Talib (AS), and the infallible Imams (a.s.) are the descendants of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.).”

The Secretary-General of the Taha Foundation stated, “The actions of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) were necessary to preserve the mission and life of the Prophet (p.b.h.u). Of course, he had already made sacrifices. When he learned of the Prophet’s mission, he left the business, resigned from his posts, and as a result ran into severe financial difficulties.”
