ABNA’s duty is to publish the news of the Shiite world: Policy Council member
Mohammad Mahdi Shariatmadar, a member of the policy council of the ABNA International News Agency, said that the duty of the news agency is to publish the news of the Shiite world, which is a history-making and civilization-making school.
ABWA Official Website – On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, the annual meeting of the colleagues of ABNA International News Agency and the unveiling ceremony of the “Hadith-graph of Faithful Life” in Swahili, was held in the meeting hall of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in Qom.
On the sideline of the ceremony, in an interview with AhlulBayt (a.s.) News Agency – ABNA, Mohammad Mahdi Shariatmadar, a member of the policy council of the news agency, stated, “Considering that the field of news and information is specialized, it is necessary to have a media outlet that addresses the issues of the Shiite world, including promoting the AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings, publishing the news of Shiites and Shia figures, as well as centers and organizations that follow AhlulBayt (a.s.).”
Shariatmadar added, “Fortunately, ABNA International News Agency, as a specialized news agency, addresses issues such as publishing the knowledge and teachings of AhlulBayt (a.s.), promoting the civilizational achievements of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers throughout history, and contemporary world issues, with an emphasis on the Shiite communities of the world. The Shiite is a history-making and civilization-making school with geopolitical and civilizational dimensions in the world. Islamic Resistance, Islamic Awakening, Islamic Unity, and the defense of Palestine are among the issues that the ABNA News Agency has addressed well, and covered the field, political, and social activities of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers.”
In the end, the Director General of the Arab and African countries of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “We have seen a serious change in the performance of ABNA News Agency, especially during the last year, and we hope to see the quantitative and qualitative growth and progress of the news agency in the coming years.”
It is worth mentioning that the ceremony, in addition to the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, was attended by a group of media and cultural intellectuals, including the Director General of IRIB Qom Province, the Director General of Islamic Culture and Guidance Qom Province, the President of IRIB University of Qom, the head of the Media and Virtual space Center of the Management Center of Seminaries, head of Rasa News Agency, as well as ABNA colleagues from different cities and countries
