The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “The status of the people of Gilan is to nurture ulama. It is very desirable that the ulama and clerics of Gilan be present in their regions and cities during the summer and preaching seasons, and while holding classes, answer the questions of the people, especially the youth.”

On Monday, August 8, 2022, during the mourning ceremony of the month of Muharram at Imam Sadeq (a.s.) Hussainiya in Mojdeh village, Rasht, offering his condolences on the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s.), Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “In the past, I had the opportunity to be in this region for a whole month of Ramadan.”

While appreciating Dr. Nasiri, professor of higher levels of the seminary and the author for holding mourning ceremonies for Imam Hussain (a.s.), the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “He is one of the honors of Gilan, and one of the scholars of the seminary. The director of seminaries should plan in such a way that the summer semesters and classes of his specialty are held.”

“The ulama and clerics of Gilan should be among the people. Here are university students who need the presence of a scholar to answer their questions. Some clerics of Gilan province are literate to the extent of a mujtahid. It is very desirable that the ulama and clerics of Gilan be present in their regions and cities during the summer and preaching seasons, and while holding classes, answer the questions of the people, especially the youth. The status of the people of Gilan is to nurture ulama. People of this region love ulama and clerics, so this mutual relationship should be close,” he stated.

Considering the attacks of the enemies in the virtual space, it is necessary for the learned people to see their city, neighborhood, and province closely and observe their simple life and talk to them. Today, the enemies have plot to separate people from the clerics. The enemy wants people to learn their religion from non-clerics,” Ayatollah Ramazani noted.

“Throughout history, clerics taught us Islam, and they were present in various fields. Today, the most prestigious universities of the world are conducting new studies on religion, because religion has entered the social and political spheres, and has become dominant,” noted a member of the Assembly of Leadership Experts.

“Imam Sadeq (a.s.) said, “We want our followers and Shiites to be wise, understanding, knowledgeable, patient, loyal and tolerant. If people in the Islamic society seek knowledge of religion, there will be no ignorance. Imam Hussain (a.s.) was martyred to prevent the society to remain in ignorance. He was martyred to prevent people from confusion,” he said.

“A standard society from the AhlulBayt (a.s.) point of view, is a society which is either learned or is learning. In the ceremonies for Imam Hussain (a.s.), we should learn life lessons. According to the Quran and hadiths, life is not just the material possessions we have. According to Imam Hussain (a.s.), life is love for the truth, getting close to God and attaining divine honor,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.

“All divine prophets were sent to bring man from superficial life to real life. We must live in such a way that we establish eternity for ourselves. Eternity originates from our inner self, and the inner self originates from our beliefs, morals, and the fulfillment of Ahkam (Islamic rules),” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“The story of Hurr in Karbala gives hope to man, that no matter how sinful a person is, he can be forgiven,” he said, referring to the Event of Ashura and martyrdom of Hurr ibn Yazid Ar-Riyahi.

“According to Imam Hussain (AS), humiliating life was equal to death. On the other hand, according to him, honorable death was life,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated in the end.
