Teachers should have moral education, compassionate view of students: Ayatollah Ramazani
Addressing the teachers from India, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “The cultural environment of India is love-oriented and emotional. Therefore, you can have the most efficiency in using this platform to develop students with an emotional and scientific approach.”
On Thursday, May 25, 2023, a group of teachers from India met with Ayatollah Reza Ramazani Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, in the Assembly building in Qom.
Addressing the teachers who were present in this meeting, he said, “Your job is the job of prophets. Therefore, never measure this mission with material scales, nor underestimate it. The job of a teacher has requirements, among which are patience and endurance. You should never be bored.”
Also, addressing the female teachers present in the meeting, the professor of higher levels of the seminary stated, “Education is based on love, and God created the mother as a role model of love. Therefore, women have more talent and ability to educate than men. Also, from the mother’s love, God’s love for his servants can be understood. Just as a mother has a nurturing and compassionate view of her child, a teacher should also have a moral educating and compassionate view of a student.”
Regarding the teacher’s requirements, he added, “It is necessary for the teacher’s efforts in education and training to be based on improving students’ understanding and intelligence. The teacher should not be satisfied with memory-oriented education. He or she must convey scientific topics to students at a deep and practical level.”
“The cultural environment of India is love-oriented and emotional. Therefore, you can have the most efficiency in using this platform to develop students with an emotional and scientific approach,” Ayatollah Ramazani said at the end of this meeting.
